Another 787 ride for Mutta, whose hair fits into a Santa hat sooooo well. Is it post-Christmas now, or can Mutta still be a shopping mall Santa in Houston, too? Baby New Year? ^^;;;

It was strange hearing Sawashiro Miyuki in two consecutive scenes in two (very) different roles. It's so much fun to watch Serika eat, and even more so when she dances at the same time. ^^ I can't wait to find out what American foods Serika substitutes for her favorite Japanese snacks. Maybe they can make a whole episode out of her eating her way across Texas?

It's cool that they decided to send Kenji to Houston too.
The flashbacks were nice.
So was the info about space organisms.
Geez, they still have one final exam... there's just no end to those.
Hibito and Mutta reunited again ^^

Episode 23:

- Heh. Mutta can be so childish about things.
- Mutta Claus. There's no way this ends well.
- Ah, Teshima. I guess learning more about him can't hurt. But I do want to hear from Kenji.
- Ohhh. So Teshima's father wasn't disapproving of Teshima becoming an astronaut. He was disapproving of Teshima dropping out. Convenient for Kanji!
- Well that ended up being really nice given I never cared about the character before now. I'm glad they gave a plausible reason for Kenji getting in, and not just "oh one of the others got in an accident" or "oh the announcement was a mistake" or something trivial.

- Serika! From Inaban to Serika, it's a Sawashiro Miyuki festival.
- And yet more Sawashiro, screeching child version.
- Now Mutta is off to Houston. Can't wait for him to meet up with Hibito for the first time since passing the third test.
- Heh. What a Mutta-like way to ruin the cool farewell.
- Dancing Serika! I'm glad they didn't do the "Mama, that person is weird!" "Don't look!" gag that had to be so tempting.

The brothers meet, and it's wonderfully understated.

Fantastic episode. I don't know why I enjoyed it so much, but I really, really did. This is such a good show.

Back to episodes being spent in Houston, with Mutta just kind of hanging out while Hibito does his NASA thing. But as it turns out, the two aren't so different sometimes, and you can definitely tell that the two of them are brothers. Mutta does get to hang out in NASA some more, and this time he also gets a little taste of some of the astronaut test equipment, while meeting Hibito's backup astronaut. The title doesn't really come into play until the end of the episode, and even then, it's just to tell you what the title is about, rather than the event it's referencing actually happening yet. So overall, not a necessarily eventful episode, but it still had some important stuff, especially for building up to the "mysterious" final exam. Will it really just be an interview?

- So Teshima is dropping out. Nice from them to explaining to us why and well done.
- So they chose 9 people and since Teshima dropped out, it came back to 8. Kenji is in.
- What is the first thing Serika is thinking about when we get back to her, food of course!
- Well, she gives her diary to her dead father… and we have some back story.
- Mutta as been rename, his new name is Mukku.
- Serika’s dance. Hehe.
- Hibito and Mutta meet again.

It was a really good episode.

Episode 24:

- Manuals are annoying, so just get in there and use it! I agree with Hibito. Of course I say that about games or computer programs, not so much space vehicles worth billions of dollars.
- Haha, same reaction from Mutta, though in reference to a lawnmower.
- Jealous rival astronaut time. Hopefully this doesn't take too long to deal with. Actually, it'd be even better if Azuma just turned out to be a true profssional and didn't hold Hibito against Mutta, but I guess then we wouldn't have a story conflict.

Watch that fourth wall, JAXA guy.

Mostly a training episode, and some of that training is unsuccessful, but overall, a really good one. I knew exactly how Mutta's training where he named astronauts he admired was going to end up. Really put a smile on my face to see it go down just like that. Everything is approaching the major events; Hibito is counting down to his launch, the JAXA crew has arrived in Houston along with the Nanba parents, and Mutta is ready for his final exam. It looks like the next episode will have his interview, whether that's the entirety of the final exam or not, and of course not all will go perfectly. Surely he'll find some way to pull through in the end, though. I look forward to it.

It was actually kinda sad for Azuma.
Being there before Hibito and getting skipped for the moon landing.
That totally sucks.
Mutta really admires his brother.
