Considering the KnK release on blu-ray was originally an upscale anyway, I'll definitely pick up the DVD release.

However, I'm not getting Oreimo DVDs (already picked up the LEs). I want a BD version, which hopefully is in the works?

I would like it to be in the works, but I doubt it. If it was in the works, why not waiting for it to be ready, before releasing the regular DVD version?

I was hoping for a cheaper KnK Bluray release when Aniplex mentioned that it was working on a re-release so I'm holding out that it will happen eventually.

If they get to finally getting OreImo on Bluray they better include the commentary extras they failed to acquire the 1st time on its DVD release.

I'm glad that both are getting an re-release. Though, I hope the OVAs are still going to be included on Oreimo.

From what I recall of that release, Kara no Kyoukai wasn't an upscale, it was just produced that way.

While I would of course rather have the Garden of Sinners on Blu-ray, I figured they wouldn't just release it for a cheap price so soon after the LE set, so I was expecting a stripped-down DVD set if anything. I'm surprised it's also going to include the entire movie series in one set, so I hope the price still doesn't go above $100. If it's not, I'll definitely buy it as soon as possible, and hope for similar pricing for a Blu-ray re-release somewhere down the line. If the price ends up being to my liking, I'll hope for the same for Fate/Zero when the time comes.

I'm just going to take a wait and see approach on Sinners. I want blurays not dvds. If they make another bluray set, then I'll buy that.

While Aniplex of America is going the DVD route for the Garden of sinners, Kazé France is planning to release a Blu-ray collection on September 5th (they had released the movies individually and DVD collection before). I'm a bit surprised that Aniplex JP allowed this outside of Japan. Maybe something is changing?
