Soooooooo, welcome to Saliva Fetish: The Anime. I had heard of this manga and that element a loooooong time ago so that was not remotely a surprise for me. Can't wait to see the reactions from people who didn't know about it though.

I.... think I enjoyed it? Licking her saliva off the desk was uncomfortable to watch and more than a little gross, but the other saliva scenes didn't bother me at all. Big difference between a guy stealing a taste of drool she left on her desk without her knowledge and her being an active participant and it coming straight from the source.

Anyway, Urabe is certainly the oddest new character this season and she's very cute and a lot of fun.

Also, its refreshing for characters to actually talk about sex with each other like this and for the show itself to both acknowledge it and treat it with some seriousness.

So let's see, who is Mikoto's seiyuu....? Wow, its someone *completely* new. This is Yoshitano Ayako's absolute first role. I quite enjoyed her here.

Episode 1:

- Huh, the character designs are kinda retro-looking. They're fine for the most part but I hate the noses.
- ...Mikoto is crazy.
- And there's the drool scene.
- This show has a very funky atmosphere, but it's also very promising.

- Oh no. Mikoto's alien drool is poisonous.
- That is some seriously viscous drool.
- "When I get happy, a flood of drool erupts from my mouth." o_O It looked more like she vomited.
- Dating by the end of the first ep, yay.

...Why does the ED have Akira with boobs in it between pictures of Mikoto and his mom?

Man this was twisted. I knew about the drool, but wow, the whole mood of this show is just so very strange. Mikoto has an extremely interesting and atypical personality - she covers such a range of reactions and attitudes and her seiyuu, while a bit stiff at times, is promising.

That's Oka, the other main girl in the show. She's the girl with the glasses that's sometimes in the background during the classroom scenes. She'll become more prevalent later.

Yeesh, I hope she looks more like a girl in the actual episode. All I could see was Akira's face and it was disturbing.

Yeah, I thought she looked really young for his mom, but my first thought it was one of those "had him when she was a teenager" situations. Then I stumbled across the fact that she's his older sister instead. That makes sense.

Well...that's certainly was interesting. The puking drool scene is disqusting. Urabe's voice is very deep. The designs are very retro--I thought I was watching a 90s show by mistake.

Wow. That was fantastic. I was a fan of the manga back in the day (way, way back in the day...), and this was just about perfect. Urabe doesn't sound like what I expected (Enzo mentioned that most people were expecting something along the lines of Misaki Mei, and that seems about what I expected), but I really liked the voice Yoshitano Ayako used. It was...unique, but good.

Urabe was everything she needed to be, cute, a little sex, very strange and absolutely 100% confident in herself. Tsubaki wasn't bad either, his confession to her and the way he demonstrated his love was great.

And looking at the preview it seems the show is not going to play any games with the pantyshots, which is good, because doing this story while avoiding pantyshots would be...difficult.

-A normal school day is invaded by the strangest girl. She's at the exact midpoint between cute and insane.

-I'm not sure which theory is stranger. That Urabe is an alien with narcotic saliva or the lovesickness causes a dependance on drool.
-"Suck it." This is a fetish I can't say I've thought about before. But I can get used to it.
-When she's happy her saliva output is increased ten fold. Impressive and potentially hazardous. At least for your sheets.
-A voice telling you that your virginity will be taken by the person sitting next to you results in minutes long fits of laughter. That should be insulting but Urabe's cute.
-Sleepy girls drooling the theme song.

Did someone lock this in a time capsule from 1995 just for me? The art style reminds me so much of half of my old favorite anime and that's great. Urabe is a weirdly cute girl. Her voice is fantastic. The drooling is an odd fetish for tv but one I can live with.
