Default Volume 1 cover art

KyoAni updated their listing with the cover arts for volume 1.

BD
LE DVD
RE DVD

I'm somewhat surprised that the RE is more colorful, but they did that for Haruhi and Lucky Star.

How very Kadokawa of Kadokawa. Oh well, BD is cute, even if RE DVD is a nicer image overall. Maybe it'll be on the LE in some form of packaging.

The LE BD is cute with that adorable, full of curiosity face of Eru. But, the RE DVD is even cuter with just Eru sitting there.

If money was of no concern and the RE DVDs continue to have cute covers, I'd definitely pick up the BDs and RE DVDs.

As to be expected of Kadokawa. The KyoAni listing updated with images that will be on the box to hold the first three BDs, the box to hold the first three LE DVDs, and the newly illustrated postcard that comes with volume 1.

That is a very interesting way of breaking up the soundtrack. It is 11 volumes so they've got plenty of releases to fill in the soundtrack, but it's not exactly my preferred method of releasing the soundtrack.

That said, Cello Suite No.1 is a very good piece of music.

It's not mine either. I prefer to have only soundtrack music on a disc, radio on another and drama on another. They can release as many CDs as they want, but don't mix radio, OST and drama on the same.

It's usual for KadoAni releases. Haruhi, Lucky Star, Nichijou, and now Hyouka has either had OST/Radio Digests, OST/Radio Digsts/Character Song, or OST/Drama/Radio Digests on bonus CDs. The only exception was Haruhi where the OST was on DVD with additional Shiraishi footage and a recap skit.
