Things are really starting to get out of hand now that Ao has been thrown into a state of flux and the Secrets are out on the loose. And then there is Christophe who is plotting something by hoarding all that quartz as a countermeasure against the Secrets. Just like in the original E7, emotions are spiraling out of control leaving Ao to figure out what's going on.

Christophe's plan is now ready to go by using the quartz as a magnet to draw the Secrets into one place so that they could be blown up in the North Pole. Seems like the plan is going well until the Soviets interfere with the plan, and once again Truth is the reason for the interference. But Ao does things on his own once again to exterminate the Secrets. And then somehow, Goldilocks never existed. Huh?
While there is that thing where the Secrets are not the enemy according to Eureka, something is definitely going on and destroying the Secrets is supposed to be a defensive measure. But I don't see it that way. Somehow, somebody is pulling the strings somewhere. In the next episode, the mystery of the non-existent Goldilocks team is told and it looks like we will also learn more about Truth since he is apparently Johannson's son. This episode was nice and very telling of the way things are going.

Things seems to be slowly going out of control.
Naru awaking the scub corals isn't helping the situation. Ao on his own guilt trip... Seems like this episode is more dealing with the changed timeline than fighting. At least Ao found the girls, even though there were no longer part of Generation Bleu. Truth's intervention complicated things even more. The appearance of Ao's mom mad things even harder for Ao. At the same time it did help clear some things up.

Chloe is no more. And never existed in the first place. Wut. At least that's going to be rectified ASAP, rather than just writing her/them out of the story. I like how Ao talks about Chloe like she's the only member of Goldilocks. I just re-watched Bunny Drop, so more Ayu Matsuura is very welcome. This is definitely a much darker world to bring that little girl into than the cuteness and innocence of Rin and her story.

This series continues to be a disappointment, but I can't say I'm not intrigued, even if I just end up rolling my eyes at a lot of the choices made. Elena is still always loads of fun, though.

The girls sure made a LOL of testing those IFOs.
Allied forces and Ao, new info arises. Seems like Ao is losing faith in Generation Bleu. Elena & Fleur must really care about Ao a lot to come save him. I still wonder who the real enemy here is since the lines between good and evil are very blurry.

So Ao has been living in a world warped by the Scub Coral all this time. That explains how Team Goldilocks was never at GB as they never became IFO pilots in reality. And Truth, the adopted son of Johansson, is trying to end this hallucination. With the Quartz weapon moving on its own, Ao is in big trouble now, and he is taking the blow for GB.
Things are starting to fall into place here now that the truth about the Scub Coral is revealed. Now Ao has been captured, and the military factions are turning against GB. The next episode should really tell a lot.

So Ao gets captured and becomes a member of the Allied Forces, until Fleur and Elena come to his rescue. For that, GB has become a terrorist organization.
This definitely feels like the time in the original E7 series when Renton jumped off the Gekkostate in order to not keep his problems out of the Gekko's hands, and here Ao is doing the same by trying to distance himself from GB. Of course, his departure didn't exactly sit well with his comrades, and they mounted a rescue mission to get him back. Now that GB is on the bad side of the Allied Forces, things are about to get intense in the upcoming battles.

Fourth-Wall-Breaking Otaku Elena has been one of the saving graces of this series through its entire run, but it's been too long since they started to portray her as some mystery girl, so they really need to get on that. It seemed like they were starting to in this episode, but that kind of got sidelined.

Truth had different motives than Naru.
Looks like their plans conflicted. Seems like he didn't take that very well.. Allied forces vs Generation Bleu! The politics and goals conflicting.. Truth's world domination plans... that's never a good sign. Wow, that explosion was really strong.
