Just going to Flonyard doesn't make a normal person superhuman. So for Becky, I'm trying to remember if there were any hints in season one that she was, physically-speaking, special (besides being hot). Millhi mentioned archery or firearms, so they seem to be taking her lack of physical prowess into consideration already. Was she supposed to be really smart? Perhaps a mage... her costume choice doesn't really give anything away.

We barely saw Becky at all in season 1, and it for extremely brief periods on those rare occasions she appeared, and I think she was just sitting or standing somewhere wondering where Shinku was. I doubt there were hints of anything.

She's clearly flying on a broom on the ED, which sort of suggests witch, so I'm thinking mage. Or maybe she can have Rico make her some guns.

Nanami & Becky will get an unforgettable summer vacation too ^^
The welcoming event was really fun to watch!
Looks like Shinku will get some competition from Nanami, maybe even Becky.

Shinku is awesome, not just because of the way he got Becky and Nanami there, but the fact he brought them along in the first place.

Nanami's entrance was grand. Now we just need to see her in action. I mean aside from the opening hints.

I think my favorite part was the Couver declaring that Becky will be hero. Especially since she's quite attractive. Couver has many appealing aspects.

The series is off to a great start. Now what I'm hoping for is Becky and Nanami to have radically different fighting styles from Shinku for the sake of variety and all that.

Please let Becky be a mage! Assuming that's even possible.

Hey, it's Dog Days and as epic as ever. Sink also brought friends this time around! Well, I don't think the opening was as epic as "SCARLET KNIGHT," but otherwise, it looks like it will be an excellent second season.

And for the record, chipmunks > dogs > cats.

- So where are Cinque and Becky going? It's a surprise at the school's rooftop.
- Nanami, meet the cat that will make you a hero.
- And Becky is out cold.
- That sure is a nice way to welcome Cinque back into Flonyard.
- Right away, a "war" is on.
- The Genoise trio is charging ahead, only to be stopped by Cinque.
- Rico is such a sharp-shooter.
- Biscotti, meet Galette's hero, Nanami.
- Now the squirrels want a piece of the action, and Becky.

And in this episode, everything that I liked about Dog Days has returned, this time with Becky and Nanami a part of the adventure. The characters were being cute and it's nice to see this war, which is really a sporting event, happen at the start of things.

I reckon I wore a big cheesy grin this whole episode. Everything was perfect, and having Yuuki Aoi play a squirrel princess who's probably going to be the "bad" guy for the start of the season then end up best friends with everyone was a great choice. I'm also looking forward to seeing more of the two girls who were quite underused last season. I'm so glad this series got a second season.

The only thing that seems to be saving this season for me are multi cour shows. This is obviously one of them. So we've got two new heroes and a new kingdom who's princess is nuts (sorry could't help it) about Becky.

This new season seems very promising.
Instead of of one hero, we have two, possibly even three! Cool ^^
I really like watching them fight 'cause those magic attacks are awesome!
Actually this is a pretty unique way of avoiding real war, having a great competition and still ending things on friendly terms.
Wish we had this instead of all wars.
Guess we're not civilized enough for something like that yet.

- It's Hero vs. Hero.
- Meanwhile, Leon is fighting Eclair and Yuki. And Leon makes it look easy.
- Time to unleash the power of the emblems. Cinque's fire vs. Nanami's water.
- This round ends in a draw. Both heroes defeated by dueling archers.
- Nanami sure took the defeat to her advantage. As long as it's not underwear, I guess.
- The squirrels invade, and Becky is taken away.
- Now it's a three-way battle, and the dogs and cats are joining forces.
- So Nanami's Power Gear lets her water ski.
- Say hello to Pastillage's hero, Becky. But she needs to learn how to fly.

Overall, another fun episode to watch as the battles are intense even if it is just in the setting of a sporting event, and now that the squirrels have joined the fight that it gets even more intense. Seeing how Couver gets along with Becky will be nice to watch. Cruchyroll certainly made some errors in the translation. Cinque's name is "Sink" in their subtitles and Millhiore has an extra "i" that should not be there. Shinku would have been acceptable, but they had to throw the kitchen Sink at us. Couver is spelled "Couverte" and while I am not fluent in French, I believe with that spelling it would mean the "t" is pronounced, which is not the case in this show.

Anyway Couver's dialog to Becky is hilariolusly innuendo laden...when she's not just outright declaring her love.
