織田信奈の野望
A show that takes yet another crack at gender-bending Japanese history as this time, it's all about Oda Nobuna, not Nobunaga. Begins: 7/8 Studio: Madhouse Official Site ANN Page Crunchyroll Stream Ordinary high schooler Yoshiharu gets pulled into a time slip to the warring states period. There he meets Nobuna Oda - not Nobunaga, Nobuna. In this world, all the famous warlords of the era are female. Nobuna recruits Sagara, who she dubs "Monkey," to help her in her quest to rule the world. - Tokichiro (a.k.a. Hideyoshi) is dead!
- Fear the iPhone's music! Oh wait, the battery is dead! - So that's why there are female generals. The first child born, boy or girl, is the head. - It's Nobuna, not Nobunaga! Remember that, Monkey! - Yoshimoto and Ieyasu are playing soccer. - And Monkey is kidnapped by Goemon, to be her master in place of Tokichiro. - Proving he is from the future, the Monkey got the place where Nobuna would meed Dousan correct. - Once enemies, time to carry out the dream. - And Owari and Mino are united. It was a pretty solid episode considering how low my expectations are for a show like this. It would have helped if it explained how Sagara was thrown into this world, as it seems like the pre-OP sequence was supposed to be a preview of things to come. At least compared to other shows that gender-bend Japanese history, this one starts out getting straight to the point. The character designs are pretty nice as well. I'll stick with it for another episode or two.

Episode 1:
- Itou Kanae is the strangest choice of seiyuu. - Solid metal armor does not jiggle! - Noto Mamiko as an angry soccer player~ - Oh god Kaneda Tomoko. - Yahagi Sayuri as Mitsuhide. Cute. Having a male protagonist in a history genderbender show feels exactly as wrong as I expected it to. But as long as he just sticks to using his wits and knowledge of history, I think I'll keep watching, given that the girls are just ludicrously hot. The second they put a sword in his hands and try to pass him off as some skilled warrior who can defeat trained samurai, I'm going drop it like it's on fire.

Oh god, cocky oujou-sama Noto Mamiko. More of this please, Japan.
And a few of the other girls are cute and fun. Beyond that.... I dunno. The main guy is already pretty annoying. Using his fanatic level of knowledge about the history to change things is at least something different though. Guess I'll at least give it another episode or two, though it will probably be a show I use to fill that dead time in the middle of the weak. Waaaaay too many other shows I'd rather watch first come out on Sunday.

Ito Kanae? Wha? Thats so weird. In fact, this entire cast is nuts. Noto Mamiko? Kaneda Tomoko!?
Also, male lead is irritating. On the other hand, Nobuna is REALLY awesome, and the animation is pretty goddamn good. Why couldn't they just do this without him?

A little trip to past in the most popular time in history.
Well, at least it is in anime. So they the famous guys are actually girls this time, not the first time for this. Yoshiharu sure got himself into an interesting situation. Wonder if he'll really be Hideyoshi's replacement. Character introductions were a nice bonus & helpful too. Will be watching this 'cause of time travel and fighting.

The first episode wasn't that terrible. It continued along with history after Monkey (that's what I'm going to call him now) appeared out of nowhere (it would be funny if it turns out he was sucked into the game he was playing, but something happened along the way) - which was pretty cool.
I feel like I'm the only one who is not annoyed or irritated by the male character. He's there and I'm pretty apathetic towards him because he's just there - he's nothing really special considering he's a high school student. Cool that he gets to use his knowledge in the world he loves, but I wonder when that'll run out or something doesn't go as planned or he becomes the center of warring because of his "clairvoyant" abilities. I also didn't mind hearing Itou Kanae was Nobuna - I thought it fit. I'll keep with this for now since the first episode wasn't bad. I do wonder how much history the show will follow.

- Eating leaves from the backyard bushes.
- So Nobuna's little brother doesn't approve. - Nobukatsu wants to rebel. Not good. - Now, Monkey needs to gather a ton of rice, or face execution. - That trick worked in VGs, and now it's working in this world, too. - Monkey, weren't you supposed to get rice, not money? - Just in time the rice is delivered, and way more than Nobuna asked for. - The rebellion is on at Suemori Castle. - How to defeat Nobukatsu without killing anybody? Nobuna! Nobuna! Nobuna! - Nobuna, you were about to become a cold-blooded killer had you killed your brother. - Goodbye, Oda Nobukatsu. Say hello to Tsuda Nobusumi. This was an enjoyable episode, and certainly this is shaping up to be a fun show to watch given what this show is all about.

Oda's little brother sure is a brat.
Sagara always seems to get himself into unnecessary trouble. He sure makes a great trader, but is pretty much an airhead... He has more luck than brains.

Episode 2:
I'll keep watching this for a while yet I think. They're still sticking to the protagonist just using his wits and knowledge of history, rather than pulling some ridiculous powers out of nowhere, so I can tolerate him well enough. Even if he manages to influence events realllly easily. And the girls are still ridiculously hot, so that's a huge plus.
