So Bandai stuff is starting to be up for grabs? Didn't they re-release this on their final day of releases? I wouldn't expect one of those titles to be the first to go to someone else. I have the Blu-ray, so this does nothing for me but make me wonder about other Bandai titles.

Please, please, PLEASE re-dub this FUNi. You know your actors, adaptors, and directors would love the opportunity, and you might as well give this release some juice. Besides, neither the Electric Media dub nor the Animaze one were truly effective productions, and even a third failure would still be interesting.

Got the Bandai BD when it came out. Nice to see it stay in print...

^ Same. I have the BD already, but I know this one is very sought after, even amongst people who might not be regular anime fans. A couple people I know directly had heard about the Bandai release much too late, and were disappointed they couldnt buy a copy. This should make a lot of people happy.

I guess FUNimation won't be (re-)releasing this movie any time soon.

Just did a great interview with Funimation about Akira, anime and cool tattoos. They're releasing a new Blu-Ray of Akira next year - be excited!

I hope that Funi makes it worth the wait.

It's time to graduate from here. But there's still some business left.
The only thing better than anime is sports. Get hit hard and you got JACKED UP! Or else it's a C'mon Man!

My guess is that they probably won't redub it. They probably MAY include both dubs on it, though, just to keep fans happy.
