Please people buy this, it is the BEST anime of the 70s and 80s hands down. Please support this release, please watch it on Viki(weird) to see that you will ove it.

I never thought I would see this in America, I am so happy right now, and my wallet is crying because it knows price is almost no object(aniplex prices are an object).

I know very little about this show, but I buy all of the Dezaki's old shows. He has never disappointed.

So in trying to research the show a bit more I ran across a MAJOR spoiler -- as in end-of-series, ultimate-fate-of-characters major. *sigh* I really should know better by now. Freaking Internet.

Oh, well. Still buying.

I blame history class for most of my rose of Versailles spoilers.

Well, I sure didn't see this coming. Glad that it's an older title though, particularly such an iconic one.

It's nice that it's not just Discotek who's willing to go far back as the 70s for a license. Props for giving credit to Tadao Nagahama and his Romance Robot Trilogy, too (also, those who've seen Voltes V in that trilogy will see a few parallels to RoV).

At any rate I may go for it.

Heh, fair point. Given that the character roster includes actual historical figures, I suppose some of that spoilage was preordained.

It's around the time of the French Revolution. You can not escape this time period in history class.

That said this one ain't my cup of tea. Congrats for those who want it.
