This is very exciting. I popped in my old Pioneer set of the first two OVAs the other day and the picture quality is definitely starting to age (despite it looking far superior to the Geneon Signature Series singles release that was done years later). A blu-ray set would be most welcome.

This is the box set I have...maybe I should try selling it O_O

Tenchi Muyo! Movie Collection (Otaku USA - Oct '12 issue, page 18-19) - noted as "available now" (no mentions of release format). So it's possible that October to November would be its intended release target range.

So right now it's Tenchi Universe in October and Tenchi in Tokyo in November. I can't say I was expecting those to get released before either the OVAs and/or the movies. Will the OVAs or the movies be next (maybe as early as December)? Or perhaps one of them could be a late solicitation candidate for November (September = Steins;Gate and October = Strike Witches 2)?
