In a rather interesting move, FUNimation.com's upcoming schedule (EVS & Free) now lists Case Closed. There really hasn't been any real news from FUNimation's end for quite a while now. Season 5 Viridian set was released back in March 2010. After that we have movies 1 & 2 silently going OOP. I personally wasn't expecting anything more from FUNimation's end (other than letting the license expire).
It will be intersting to see how much episodes FUNimation will really stream (All 130 licensed episodes? Both sub and dub?). Or can something completely unexpected happen (as in subtitled streaming from episode 131 and on)? I don't see this one happening at all. What's licensed by FUNimation | http://www.funimation.com/case-closed Quote:

My guess is they're moving the five seasons they have to SAVE or they're doing something else to push the remaining Viridian sets out of the warehouses. Don't think the streaming listings were a mistake, nor do I think this is an immediate attempt to garner interest to license more or get a simulcast going.
Of course, this could also be a response to the Detective Conan fansub streaming site that keeps getting put up and then promptly forced back down by TMS. |

And the schedule is back up on FUNimation.com once more. I posted screencaps of the schedule on the first post should it disappear again.

There's a TV station in Southern California that's airing sub-only episodes from 131 onwards. About a 0.3% chance that some sort of collaboration is in the works, but it's something.

Yeah, UTB Hollywood. Last I checked (granted this was months ago), they had scheduled at least 6 or 8 episodes further than Funimation had done, and had already aired 2 of them. And just based on that list, with a faded rememberance of episode numbering since I don't have my files on hand, it looks like they're a good 50 episodes past Funimation already.

hmmm that is good news, but hopefully if not get more seasons, Dub the rest of the movies?
I thought case closed was pretty popular its a shame they don't pick up the rest of it.

And FUNimation has added the first two subbed episodes for EVS members (http://www.funimation.com/case-closed/videos).
So if everything goes according (per schedule), the first two subbed episodes will be made available to free members on 03/22/13. |

If only they could add episodes that were not release on DVD...

I assume S.A.V.E. editions can be expected eventually.
