Recently I've been going on an anime spree on netflix, and when I saw dragonaut on Netflix it got 4 stars. So I was wondering if anybody could recommend it to me? Cause I don't want to waste time trying to get sucked Into the plot and end up not liking it halfway through. I'm looking foward to the responses.

Umm...no? If you've watched Linebarrels of Iron then it's essentially the same story, just with dragon-mech-like-things. Overall it's just a fanservice entertainment with dragon-thing battles and one shouldn't expect more than that.

I never watched the series, but from comments I read about it, I would say no. I think I have yet to read a positive comment about that series.

It was a good but not a great series in my opinion. Although it had a cute love story in there somewhere the overall part was lots of fanservice. If you can get past that and focus on the plot it can be okay, but otherwise it is not anything special. I watched it once all the way through and I don't have a thought of wanting to rewatch it. I would say go for Chrome shelled regios which in my opinion is a whole lot better.
