Episode 3:

- That moment when Miyako and Yuno hold hands in the OP. <3

August 31st
Huh, this is the farthest episode in the timeline ever. Previously the latest episode was the pool episode, in the second half of the first ep of the xSP specials. Aug 28 that was.

- Bad weather means no shopping. Empty fridge means hungry Miya. The solution? Hiro-saaan!
- ::twitches:: I love how Miyako instinctively puts her arm around Yuno to protect her from the rain. HNNNNNNNNGH.
- Bwhaha everyone has the same idea. Oh Hiro, they would all starve to death without you.
- Miyako why are you so suicidal around Hiro?

- Macho man weather journalists!
- Why does Japan adore the name "Catherine" so much? It's not quite that common a western name.
- I really like the camera spinning around as everyone talks and plays cards.
- Ahahaha, Nori if you're so sudden about grabbing Nazuna's hand, you're going to give the poor girl a heart attack.
- Awwwwwwww, that eyecatch.

- Landlady makes an appearance. I love the landlady.
- Yuno go waaaaaaaai!

September 1st
And so we pick up the very next day for the first day of school after summer break.

- Nakayama and Mami! YAAAAAAAAY!
- ...The powers of a private school.
- Yoshinoya-sensei is probably not the ideal teacher for an emergency evacuation.
- HAHHAA hooooly shit Miyako. That... that was really impressive. Also way to shave a year off the life of every boy (and probably most of the girls) in the class. And that SOUND she made, ahaha.
- Bwhaha, Sae and Hiro don't even need words to communicate.
- Oh god, Nazuna. No peeing! The school is on fire! "Are you going to take responsibility?" o_O
- HEH. Miyako plays human dominoes.
- And Nazuna continues to suffer.
- Nori to the rescue. Awwwwww.
- Yuno in an earthquake simulator. You're cruel, Yoshinoya-sensei.
- ...But oh how I wish we could have seen that. I'm sorry, Yuno.

- Just hearing "mochi" makes Hiro hungry.
- Wow, Hiro's giggle when Miyako praises the mochi was friggin cute as hell.
- A "Yoshinoya-sensei being a good teacher" scene again. I love those. I also like when she gets along with the principal.
- YUNO BATHING TIIIIIIIME! Fear the duck launcher!

I'll say it ever time: I loooooove Marble. A lovely new ED from them is one of the best things about a new season of Hidamari. Also, Hidamari Chronology spreadsheet is updated.

I really need to watch Hidamari on Sunday nights from now on, if I can bring myself to wait an extra day. There is simply no better show to end the weekend on. About the only show on the same level of pure iyashikei soothing wonderfulness is Aria.

Nazuna with bunny ears is the thing which stops my heart in the OP. Dear me could you be more adorable Nazuna? Yes.

Entire episode was devoted to a swimming competition.

Yuno and Nakayama were in charge of photography, Miya, Sae and Nori competed, Nazuna and Hiro cheered.

Pretty fun, all in all. Poor Natsume...

Episode 4:

September 15th
Continuing two weeks after the previous episode. We'll probably be mostly chronological from here on out. Ever since Nazuna and Nori moved in in Hoshimitsu, the jumping around has dropped considerably. Well, I also assume that's because we've already seen most of he earlier material animated by now.

- Miyako can get ready for the day in 10 seconds. Now that is a superpower anyone would want.
- Nakayama! I can never get enough of the classmates. It's also weird seeing Nakayama without Mami joined at the hip.
- Sukumizu Miyako. <3
- THAT EYECATCH. GODDAMN. <3^2

- Haha, taking photos goes from a bit of fun to a terrifying responsibility. But awesome, Nakayama and Yuno get to hang out.
- I thought the shaking compensation gag was going to be for a picture of the principal, but this was pretty funny. Nakayama is paranoid.
- Sukumizu Yoshinoya, yay,
- Mami no the PA system? Or just Sawashiro filling in yet another role?
- HAHAHAH oh wow, when Yuno gets behind the camera she gets naughty. More please. Also, fuck yeah Nori.
- Nice photo, Yuno. =D
- Nazuna comes to congratulate her wife. Awww.
- And gets splashed in the face by a flustered Nori for her trouble.
- These eyecatches are killing me. Lovely.

- Don't worry about it, Nakayama. You don't need to look at icky boys anyway, so you're fine. You have Mami! (PS: I keep forgetting this school even has boys in it.)
- Mami IS the announcer, yay.
- Hey so Sae is swimming, but Hiro isn't? ;_; I wanted to see Hiro in her swimsuit.
- Hiro feeding Sae! I saw that!

- Natsumeeeeeeeeee. Tsuntsun incoming. She's totally just there to see Sae in a swimsuit.
- Haha she lost it.
- Siiiiigh. Watching Natsume is so heartbreaking. ;_; She's always so depressed thinking about Sae. But those rare, fleeting moments where she gets to experience happiness are beyond lovely. I can't root against Hiro, Natsume, but I do very much hope you find love.
- Hahaha, awwwwwwww! Natsume and Hiro bond for a moment. And lol Hiro realizing Natsume is on the other team but is cheering for Sae anyway.

Hiro and Natsume getting all buddy-buddy in their mutual cheering for Sae was simultaneously adorable and hilarious.

Yuno becoming a gravure photographer was just flat-out hilarious, though. Wonder if she actually will get a camera for use in the rest of the show?

That transition image seems like such a tease. Sure, Alice in Wonderland episodes are done to death, but I'd absolutely love Nazuna starring in one.
