-Tank drifting? Fuck yeah mechanics club! You better not be teasing me.
-Team crazy internet cosplayers, you are coming dangerously close to replacing Team Hippo as my favorite group of girls.
-Flowers arranged like an exploding tank.

-Dang it. Team Hippo doesn't get any "night before the final battle" dialog.
-The internet cosplay weirdos are team Anteater?
-Hehehe. Kelly's Heroes. Of course.
-But but... There's more episodes! They can't have taken out the flag tank! Can they?

DAMN IT! DAMN IT! DAMN IT! I want episode 11 and 12 now! >_< Everyone else here seemed to jump on the tank and start loving this show from the start. I've always thought this was a cute show but it's taken the whole show so far for me to fall in love with it. I won't want to wait months to see more of my panzer waifu! *sigh*

Time for the last (real) episode for quite a while. Damnit, Actas.

Episode 10:

- I thought maybe they'd have both flags go up, one just a second earlier. But having Ooarai's tank barely escape (mostly) intact is better.
- Katyusha isn't crying! Snow is just melting on her face. At least she's a good sport and congratulates Miho.
- Good on Maho, she speaks up on Miho's behalf. And then immediately vows to crush her.

- 20 tanks jeeze.
- Some derpy character animation. Episodes 11-12 better be friggin' immaculate for all the waiting we have in store.
- Ah I like the idea of other clubs pooling their funds for the sensha-dou team. But buying a tank isn't cheap.
- Hahah, their restored tank is a piece of crap. But that's what makes it Ooarai!

- Yay, the (first member of the) final team!
- "Oh there as tank here?" IN THE PARKING LOT. >_>
- The automotive club will be a team in the battle too! hell yes!
- Haha, Nekota is a tank game otaku. She might get along with ukari, if she can take Yukari's loud personality.

- Now for some flower arranging.
- Flowers sprout from tanks, and get some closure on Hana's family situation.

- Oh Momo you're so irritable.
- Saori looks so damn cute in those glasses.
- HELL YEAH MIPORIN! Boyfriend? Why would she care about that, she has a fantastic girl harem all around her! Yukari is soooooo happy. =D
- Katsu katsu katsu. I love seeing everyone taking time to unwind before the final match.

- Mihosha! Miho's international harem comes to wish her luck.
- Goddamn, Maho's second in command is a bitch.
- Awwwwwwwwww, the girl Miho saved came to thank her. <3
- And Yukari sees, and smiles.

Then as the match starts, Maho's team goes all out assault. New team is taken out immediately, but saves everyone in the process through sheer dumb luck.

And jeeze, not where I thought they'd end it. The long, long wait begins. ;_;

.1 issues are designed as jumping on points, so let's see how this... wait no that's comicbooks. This is a filler episode, let's see how it is.

-Only tanks made before August 15th of 1945 can be used. Or ones in the planning stages if the governing Tankery body so deems it. *wonders if anyone uses Leonardo's tank*
-The ammo & judgement flags follow a version of the JSDF's "Butler System." Butler System. *cough*
-Quick review of the others schools they fought. Favorite flowers & teas included.
-Hehehehehe. Anzio High. They get even less time in the recap. Hahahahaha.
-Katyusha!
-"I say no, but I mean yes." You are a horrible role model dancing goosefish.
-Oddball is the best scout a commanding officer could ask for.
-The mechanic girls have names! *has already forgotten them*
-Nekonya! Piyo-tan! Momoga! Crazy cosplay online tankers are the star rookie team.
-Everytank is shown in chibi! All 9 of them (including the Goosefish team's current variant). Quick someone make all the gifs!

Dang it. Now begins the long wait for the finale of the finals. The time stretches on until we learn the face of Ooarai High. Panzer Vor forever!

That was really good. GirlPan is an amazing show. A recap episode that is really good, good like this? Well done.

Episode 10.5:

- Of course Yukari is the one narrating with her Nishizumi-dono. =D
- Ah, sensha-dou rules. They explicitly say only tanks from 1945 and earlier can be used.
- Rounds must be weak enough to not pierce armor, and all tanks are coated with special armor inside for safety. This says nothing about what happens when they're outside the tanks, but hey, nobody gets hit much. >_>
- That Yukari happy face rubbing thing. ♥
- Ahh, an explanation for why allowing such a disparity in tank forces is allowed.
- You know, is Sanders hadn't been relying on radio intercepts, they totally would have won.
- This also explains why Duck team didn't hit Arisa's tank when they had a perfect shot - it wouldn't have pierced the armor. Interesting.
- That envious look on Yukari's face when Kei hugs Miporin.

- "Ignoring our second match opponents from Anzio High..." Hahah Yukari you're so mean. Poor Anchovy.
- I love all the annotations, obviously by Yukari, about how cute and stylish all the tanks are.
- Katyusha's daily activive: Hanging exercises usin a pull-up bar.
- Nonna's daily activity: A diary on Katyusha. XD
- No Miporin, we will never forget your glorious anglerfish dance. Least of all Yukari. =D
- And the third reason we succeeded was.... Yukari! YUKARI IS IN HER HAPPY PLACE!

Great recap. Getting some insight into what certain things meant in the series was great, but even better was Yukari and Miho getting some alone time. Oh and I loved the ED showing all the teams.

What this desperately needs is two cour... if only they could have known ahead of time what a big hit it would be (it's been outranking Gundam UC more often than not during the past week...) I'm sure they might have cleared a second cour or a sequel right off the bat. Actually, I'd bet someone is busy at work writing material for one right this season. If the projected sales numbers are accurate at all a sequel is a total given.

How did I almost forget about this?

OVA 1:

- Swimsuits! Beach! GIRLS! (und panzers)
- Yukari historical swimsuit fashion show = YES.
- Hahahaha oh wow, Saori. That panzer swimsuit... It's, amazing. In a way.
- Holy crap Saori is head over heels for swimsuit Hana.
- ...This is incredible.
- Heh, cosplay club is having fun.
- Volleyball club is even weirder.
- And the first years... o_O
- They all finish buying their swimsuits, except Miho, who totally forgets.
- But Yukari to the rescue! She 1) knew this would happen, 2) preemptively bought one for Miho, and 3) can accurately judge Miho's three sizes just by looking.
- And 4) she has absolutely fantastic taste.
- But then it rains.
- Haha, aww, I thought the ED might put the girls in their tanks whilein swimsuits.

Man they make shipping Yukari and Miho incredibly easy.

I can't wait for the rest of these.

Yup, that's what I expected too... Maybe some fan will do an animated gif like they did for the other schools.

Was a funny episode, and judging from the credits, the script was by Suzuki Takaaki, the show's history advisor. Looks like he is an expert in not only military history, but also mizugi history :D
