FUNimation Entertainment Acquires Additional Rights for [C]

Flower Mound, Texas (July 1, 2011) – Not long after partnering with Fuji Television for the exclusive online simulcast of the series: "[C] – Control – The Money and Soul of Possibility," FUNimation Entertainment has acquired additional rights for distribution of the original series in the U.S. Included in those rights are those of home entertainment, broadcast, and digital.

“[C]” is produced by Tatsunoko Production and directed by Kenji Nakamura (“Mononoke,“ “Ayakashe”, “Flying Trapeze”).

The Japanese government was rescued from the brink of financial collapse by the Sovereign Wealth Fund. For its citizens, however, life has not improved, and unemployment, crime, suicide, and despair are rampant. Kimimaro, raised by his maternal grandmother after the disappearance of his father and the death of his mother, is a scholarship student whose only dream is to avoid all this and live a stable life. One day, however, he meets a man who offers him a large sum of money if he'll agree to pay it back. From then on his fate is radically altered as he's drawn into a mysterious realm known as "The Financial District."

This was a fun show to watch, but I just can't see rewatching it. IDK though, if the blu-ray set is cheap enough, then I may pick it up for the dub.

Sort of interested in this but I always get confused between No.6 and C - Control... Which one was the train wreck?

Well, I haven't seen No. 6, but that was the one with the shonen ai undertones. Control was the one with the money infused Digimon battles. I thought Control had an interesting world, and some interesting ideas. I'd recommend watching it at the very least.

I recently re-checked with a FUNi rep and was told it very likely will be released later in 2012 (no set release date on their side yet). I guess it's pretty much late 2012 at best.
