Somehow, I just knew that Discotek would end up picking this series (given that the prequel got a fairly recent re-release), but not this soon.

Is this a license rescue? I thought MB released everything Tekkaman Blade already? Also wasnt the show edited for the dub? Or was that just the TV series?

3. No, it's always been uncut.

4. Yes, only the TV series was edited.

Wait if this is a license rescue who released it previously? And is there a link to that release? Want to see if I bought it before.

The R1 actually has missing animation in the OP since UV used freeze-frames to remove the JP credits and add English ones, so it is cut in that sense.

Pissed me off to find that out after I bought the R1, but I've since bought the JP LDs so I probably won't be buying II again unless it's on Blu-ray.

thanks, from the reviews on Amazon seems it's hit or miss... the characters (new cast) dont seem very likeable. I dont own this one so I'll wait and see how this turns out in the new release. I enjoyed the JP version that MB put out.
