Didn't FUNimation already confirm film Z, or am I just misremembering rumors?

EDIT: wait no, I'm mixing it up with Strong World because I have no idea the fuck why

I will just tack this here, since the move is still unlicensed in North America.

FWIW...it may mean something or nothing at all for North America.

JoJo's pretty high profile, I don't think anyone in the UK or Australia would make a move unless the US did first, especially if a dub is in order.

EDIT: And it could also be Kaze UK making the move, as I recall Manga only distributes their stuff.

From the answer EJ gave at the AoA panel at Katsucon '13 (0:23) that Bandai still holds the license to Star Driver, it's quite possible that they still hold the license to these two titles as well since they were licensed a couple months later. We may be in the "waiting it out" phase before someone can say they have it. It'd also allow time for Gosick to become available on BD (JP BD-box releaed 2013/02/22) and maybe Nichijou as well (no BD-Box announced yet).

Actually from the get-go Bandai was quite clear in the fact they returned all rights to the Japanese for Nichijou, Gosick and Turn A Gundam since they didn't do anything with them.

Also, I find Sully's comments to the question about JoJo at the Katsucon FUNi industry panel interesting. I might be reading between the lines but it almost sounded like a paraphrased "no one has this, we know about it, we want it" kind of reply.

Right. I was thinking of the main catalog, which Iyadomi had said they were maintaining until the licenses run out. (but later stopped producing discs altogether) Thanks for the correction.

I seem to recall that the question was brought up at a FUNi industry panel sometime last year, and they responded to the effect of "we know of it and would like to have it".
