Default How do I write this in kanji?

If any wise person who knows Japanese can translate it, that would be splendid...

Kono taiyou wa yoru mo kagayaite yume wo miru... soshite isogu kimi no me ni yakitsuite hanarenai...

Well, in the end, I just guessed. Hopefully it is correct.

I am just curious about this. How does this Google translation compare to what you intended to say:
Shining night, this solar dream. I do not burn away in a hurry and your eyes.

Googling says this is from the second original HxH OP, Taiyou Wa Yoru Mo Kagayaku.

Lyrics in kanji are available on the wiki. http://hunterxhunter.wikia.com/wiki/...ru_Mo_Kagayaku

Specifically these lines:
この太陽は夜も輝いて 夢を見る
そして急ぐ君の目に 焼き付いてはなれない

Hm the Google translation is pretty bad in my opinion. Hunterpedia says:

This sun is shining even at night
Dreaming
And then you who was hurrying
Burned it into your eyes and it never came away.

which makes a little more sense.

I just really like that song and wanted to change my signature to that...

You can, but I guess the song lyrics (or whoever entered it into the HxH site) just didn't in this case. Some words (not sure how common it is with that specific one) are often spelled out in kana even though they have kanji equivalents. 可愛い/かわいい is one I see spelled out a lot.

Thanks. The Google Translator add-on for Firefox is the easiest way that I know of for me to translate kanji. I have been trying to figure out how much I can trust it.

Machine translation of Japanese, while getting better like any other technology, is bad in general and worse for highly idiomatic/figurative language like song lyrics. Of course, we non-Japanese speakers don't have a lot of choice. I'd say it's okay to use machine translation to get a very general gist of what is being said, but it won't be useful beyond that, or for anything technical or slang-filled.

I also very very highly recommend rikaichan if you don't have it. You can mouse over any Japanese and it will give possible readings and definitions per character or word in a popup. It's good for zeroing in a bit more specifically, and is also useful for guessing at names. It helps to know a little bit about the basic structure of the language to get the most out of it but I use it almost exclusively, and rarely go to a translation site.

Yeah, the most that I hope for is to get a general idea of what is being said.
It does come in handy when somebody uses kanji in a forum post and apparently assumes that everybody can read it. The Google translator will at least usually give me an idea of what they are talking about.

Thank you! I just installed it.
Right now it is giving me too much information, but I probably just need to work with it for a while and get a better idea of how to use what it is telling me.
