They do part ship for me often, even when I don't request it. Not always but even with many orders I often get 3-4 shipments per order. My wife is giving me the evil eye now as I have had DHL shipments more days than not lately...

Even if they initially list it as one order waiting I will get an email with an order update and part of the order will ship. Not sure why... But it's all good. Just wish I had more time to watch and read.

Do you order a lot of in-stock items? Almost everything I get is a pre-order, which they no longer ship on release date, especially for BDs.

Some in stock, mostly preorders once I am caught up. They seem to ship most preorders within a day of release I thought.

They did until about a year ago. There was a lot of discussion of it in a thread in the retail forum here, and we've all been experiencing zero to few partials since then. Just to be clear, I mean if you have two preorders in a single order and one released 12/01 and one releases 12/30, they virtually always hold both of them until 12/30, at least since they changed their policies.

Yes, unless you pay for ship as fast as possible.

If I order some in stock and some preorders it usually splits it up into at least two parts. With "ships in..." not in stock they will part ship as stuff comes in


DHL messed one today, second day with some stupid taxes, didn't show up at all, other part did. Trace on, bummer... First goof up I have had but still not pleased with how much I pay, argh.

This is not the case for me at all.
I've got my orders partial shipped every month the last like, 3-4 or something wich i find really annoying.

Pretty expensive month for me. With EVOL complete all my ongoing imports are done, or so I'd like to say but Magi will be taking over starting next year. I think it'll be the only ongoing TV series I import for a while because my backlog of past shows (Bakuman. season 1 DVD-sets, 4 more vols of Sacred Seven and all of Kimi to Boku.) need to be cleared first. January will be a little better since I have no CDs to order, I think. I was lucky enough to make my Dec & Jan orders while Amazon had their points offer for pre-order items, so those Index DVD boxes helped contribute a decent amount of points I can use for February.

- Pretty light, as expected. I think I might just go with four imports for Fall, although Kaibutsu-kun was sure begging for a sequel. Seems impossible with its sales though, so maybe I'll save up for a potentially big Winter. Not just for new TV series, but for a number of BD boxes that have been solicited.

- Ultimate Madoka figure will ship the 28th, Amiami says. And man, ¥5,540 for EMS, ugh. I guess there's simply no way to buy figures without getting fucked over on S&H. Glad I double-checked my email to confirm that price before posting this though, because I totally forgot you need to confirm payment separately with Amiami. I was waiting for a shipment email followup and it was never going to come if I didn't check this again.
