Kazuya Maeda is a second-year high school student who takes pictures of girls with his camera that he received from his dad. The game focuses on his romantic encounters with various girls at his school.

This episode was atrociously and offensively bad.

I cannot believe we're supposed to like those photo club members, they are all terrible. The male lead is only marginally better, but he's a typical bland carboard cutout but manages to be offensive at the same time thanks to his voyeuristic interests.

The show also did the "MC tells us the personality traits about the people he knows" which is lazy and often a red flag for the show's writing and character quality as a whole. And indeed, most of the characters were either obnoxious or felt like they were barely characters. I slightly liked a few of the girls but between this episode's issues and the show's pedigree, I have no reason to expect anything at all from them.

This episode was terrible, instant drop.

-Ooh. This is a really nice OP. It kinda reminds me of laid back 90s anime theme songs for some reason.

That wasn't so bad. What the heck was twitter all pissed at this show for. Yeah okay 1/3 of the cast are creepy photo pervs, but the rest of the cast is highly likeable. I want to see where this young impressionable artist's tale is going to take him.

Darn. Having played a little of the game, I knew going in that the direction this series will go in would be indicated by which club the lead chose to join. The pervert club would mean it's bound to end up a lowbrow ero comedy while the girls' club would mean it at least has a chance to be a touching romantic story. He chose the wrong group imo.

Oh, well, I'll still watch it for the cast.

- He's going for the ultimate pose, Nightmare Impact, to the chagrin of the other girls. That's just a dream.
- Kazuya starts his new life with dad's old camera.
- His first photo of a girl is a gymnast, who just tied herself with the ribbon.
- Kazuya's next target is another photographer, who is taking pictures from the school roof.
- And Kazuya bumps into an old friend named Nonoka, one who calls him Darts-kun.
- The Photography Club has come to recruit Kazuya. They take perverted pics.
- The Photo Club is also after Kazuya. It's a different club, one that takes landscape pics.
- After they present their pitch, Kazuya has chosen the Photography Club.
- About that girl on the roof, Hikari, Kazuya runs into him on the staircase.

That episode was boring for the most part, and while the girls are interesting and look nice, the guys are just terrible. The show was just underwhelming and then there is the fanservice. At least the female characters are interesting, so I will stay with this show a little bit longer before I make a decision.

So, uh, I guess this show looks pretty. The girls are fairly interesting, too. The guys aside from the male lead, though, are quite unsavory. I wish he had joined the Photo Club instead, myself.

I suppose the most interesting thing about this show is the concept of a "blank-slate" main guy finding what he wants to do through a new interest in photography. The more the show can develop that aspect, without going into too creepy territory, the less likely I'll end up dropping this show and the more likely it'll end up with a decent score.

Episode 1:

- Godddamn the girls in this are gorgeous.
- Imouto~
- Itou Kanae~
- ...Those boobs lol.
- Oooh Sawashiro Miyuki.
- Oh god this imouto is amazing looking. More please.
- Twintailed baton girl is also amazing. These two are definitely my favorites.

Then things go downhill when we meet the male members of the Shashin-bu, ugh. The girls are totally gorgeous though, imouto and her friend are doubly so, the seiyuu are amazing, and the protagonist is a fairly unoffensive kind of boring.

I'll give it another episode to see what Saewashiro's character's issue is, but if I could at all trust the show not to make Photo-club president fall in love with the protagonist and break poor Ruu's heard, that would go a long way towards convincing me to keep with it. But on to ep 2.

If its any consolation, neither the Photo-bu president or Ruu appear to be among the actual "haremettes" so I doubt this would happen

Episode 2:

- Saitou Chiwa's voice always makes me so happy.
- Gah, I love Mai. She's much too adorable, especially with that Kanemoto Hisako voice.
- Hoooooooooooly fuck the Shashin-bu guys are annoying. Ugh. It's nice that the protagonist is attempting to reign them in but that doesn't make them any less obnoxious. Stop getting in the way of my sexy bishoujo anime.
- Hearing Mizuhashi Kaori's voice also makes me happy. <3

- ...Wait when the hell are we going to find out Tomoe's issue?

- Haruka looks dangerously good in a one piece swimsuit. But lol it's weird, it's like a traditional sukumizu but cut off at the top to allow cleavage. Who greenlighted that design for their students?
- Hahaha what? This is a weird and roundabout way of hitting on someone. Also, kinda dumb, if she just wants him to take pictures of her that doesn't mean she'd doo all sorts of gravure poses. But I guess that's what the game event would need to be like...
- Geh, thsoe weird short cuts to 3d models for the rotating pans are so bizarre.
- "You won't show these to anyone, right?" Girl, you really need to learn about how scary the internet can be. Even if he seems like a pretty trustworthy guy.

- Oh finally. Ah, poor Tomoe. Her issue is that, basically, she's jealous. Not in a mean sort of way, she just really admires Haruka and wishes she could be like her, hence "seeing the world from her perspective" by sitting at her desk.

- Then we go downhill again with the stupid guys. Every second with them is really annoying.
- Not sure what to think of the last scene with Aki. At face value I think it's easy to say "oh that was terrible of him" and I think if it were any of the other girls I would agree but with Aki it fits into the whole "uptight rule enforcer caught red-handed breaking the rules" karma kinda thing. If it goes much beyond this I won't like it but I don't really have an issue with it yet.

So I'll keep watching this. At least until I can't stand the Shashin-bu guys anymore. And god damn they take a lot of patience to tolerate. I just love all the girls though.

I don't agree. It's not anything I'm going to import but the only particularly bad part of it is the guys in the club. That's a big thing, and good chances it's enough to make me drop it eventually, but the "WORST SHOW EVER" reactions I just don't understand.
