T&B's first movie is a recap, as something said, with a brand new climax/ending. The second movie will be completely new. I've seen a few people buying multiple copies for the different store exclusives ^^;

There's quite a lot of fujoshi-friendly content coming out at the moment (even more so than usual).

GirlPan had come back in stock, but must not have been for long, since it's saying February 28th again now. And it may have only been Amazon that restocked, since it only ranked 6th and 5th on the weekend. I assume we'll see a lot added in the coming month or two. Maybe Bandai will get it done for v3...

Top of the BD ranking is thus hard to figure out. GirlPan took #1 on Thursday, Tiger & Bunny on Friday, Ookami Kodomo came back to #1 on Saturday, and Jojo on Sunday.

For the week, it should be Ookami Kodomo > T&B/Yamato > GirlPan > Jojo/Kuroko/Horizon > Chuunibyou to name the 10k+ titles. If GirlPan is hurt even more than I expect by stock issues I guess it could be below one of the three I put below it. I don't think Jojo will repeat its 19k wk1v1 performance, since its DVD ranked well below Shin Tenipri the first three days, and that only did 2.9k last time. it did rank on Snday while TeniPri did not though. BD might be a lot closer to v1 than DVD. Besides its first volume came out during a long selling week, so it covered a couple more days than this week will. wk2 might be better for v2 than v1.

The most interesting data points is the one we don't have. Magi didn't even get top 20 on BD on pre-release day? I knew the event tickets ending would be a big deal but I didn't think it'd sell less today than Kokoro Connect or Campione. Granted it should do much better than them later in the week when it hits B&Ms.

OreShura's ranking isn't that great but we need to see what release day brings. I feel like the event ticket effect cold be pretty strong for this one, in terms of v2 drop.

Pretty good ranking for the OreImo BD box. Stalker's prediction was 5k, and it might beat that.

There must be some big concert BDs coming out tomorrow if SAO is only #4.

Since everything of any consequence except Oda Nobuna came out on the 27th this week, we should be able to get a pretty clear view of there things will rank next week.

Inadequate stock pretty obviously hurts GirlPan. KuroBad, T&B, Ookami, Jojo, and Horizon all ranked on the 27th and 28th while GirlPan ranked neither day and was lower than them on the 25th. We'll have to see if Amazon's restocking on the 28th starts hitting the charts in the next three days, otherwise it could be a little while before we get its total sales.

The previous volume totals for Horizon and Kuroko are not very useful this time, since first week was a long selling week for those. wk2 for two volumes prior was 3,275 for Horizon BD and 1,992 BD 2,803 DVD for Kuroko.

Magi only charts on BD one out of three days so far. DVD is consistently below SAO so it'll probably see another significant drop.

Little Busters and Darkness are still joined at the hip like always.

No big surprises. Hopefully Hidamari can stick to a >6k opening week again. Looks doable with these rankings.

Anything below 2000 points by this point now is probably a lost cause, with the likely exception of Hetalia (Animate) and maybe Yama no Susume (late solicit, late release).

OreShura is probably all event ticket. It very probably won't have the third best average sales of the season.

I'm wondering what happened to Vividred Operation. Hasn't seen the top 100 since February 18th. Since the 21st it's been struggling to even stay top 200. I wonder how it's doing at B&Ms. It's not going to have poor sales by any stretch, and with a season as slow as this one seems to be it could still easily be #2 but Strike Witches (14k) it almost surely will not be.

Tamako and Minami-ke have been amusingly close in points for some time now, but this is definitely the closest it's been.

GJ-bu comes out in just a few days so that should temper expectations, but the way that one turned around is pretty impressive. It's been in the top 150 almost continuously since Feb 14th. But is it too little too late?

Kotoura - san volume 4 of the manga didn't rank in last week's top fifty, threshold 18630. I thought the show would give it a good boost but apparently not. I bought my copy... I am surprised as a recent article said they had sold many copies of the first three volumes recently so I expected volume 4 to do well. Not sure you can use this to inform BD sales.

Aikatsu could be a bit of a surprise. I wasn't going to count it in my listings since I exclude most children's shows but it may be riding the idol wave to some half decent sales among otaku. But those rankings come in a pretty slow part of the week so they may not add up to much.

Overall, expected ordering didn't change much later in the week. Almost everything started charting on the 26th so we have a good sense of where they'll end up.

Though I wonder if OreShura's mini-rally late in the week can really put it at 5-6k BDs (between Hidamari and AW). It's not impossible with the event ticket but that'd be far better than estimates.

And man. GirlPan v2 didn't rank once after Monday. I didn't expect a huge week (it only needs a few thousand more discs to reach where v1 is after 10 weeks) but I wonder if it'll even add 1k.

It's still out of stock at Amazon though. Whatever restock they got on the 28th was likely very small, and now it still says 6-7 days. I hope Bandai isn't just getting lazy with printing the LEs because they have the REs to fall back on in a few months.

While I know that there are so many factors that are pushing the Chihayafuru S2 BD Box up so high (just solicited, kind of a dead period for other titles, stalker ranks boxes higher than individual volumes, etc) I am still really glad to see this title in the top 10, even if it is only for these few hours. I love the show and wish it could be a small financial success on its own, even without counting the increased manga sales.
