KanjiSite.com

A rather nice site with the JLPT kanji all arranged just so.

Thanks to Quen for this one. I found myself going back to his post over and over, so I finally decided to archive it here. The information is this:
<ul type="square">[*]Alt + Shift will change from EN to JA and back again.[*]Alt-` (top left key on keyboard) will switch from direct input to hiragana mode[/list]

The linked post is now gone. If anyone still has the info for the linked post (I believe it was how to view JP characters in Windows), and repost it again, that would be nice.

Interesting that it's gone, it wasn't supposed to go away.

Anyway, the information is just what I had in my post. Quen had some other extraneous stuff in his original post, but as far as the IME shortcuts go, I copied that over and put it here.

does anyone konw how to have it, so that when you put alt shift or whatever shortcut to change input, to have it default to hiragana, I've tried everything in the configs and can't figure it out.

ahh, that changes the default langauage when you start up the computer to japanese. I'm wondering how to set it default to japanese when you do alt+shift to japanese instead of direct input.

Just leave it on Japanese input all the time, that's what I do. If you need to switch between alphabet and hiragana, use alt + tilde.
