Default Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex vol.2 pressing problem part 2

This is a continuation of this thread:

http://forums.animeondvd.com/showthreade...;o=&fpart=1

Summary:

Due to a pressing error the silk-screen label for the DTS and regular edition was swapped. The result is that regular edition copies included the DTS disc instead of the regular one. For the special edition the actual discs are swapped in their respective cases.

Not all discs are affected, so it's advisable to check with the store that you're getting the discs from before purchasing.

Resolution:

Bandai has an ongoing exchange program if you have received a mislabeled disc. Although the link says that you should ship the disc and all the packaging, people have reported success with just sending in the discs, and have also been told to do so by Bandai customer service.

I sent in the disc and case according to their press release on Tuesday, prior to anyone being told to send just the disc, I hope it all works out.

Also, did anyone else notice that you need to send them the receipt to be refunded for shipping? I never hang on receipts, but I did just for this situation.

Some people were confused about whether or not they should send everything that came with Gits SAC Vol. 2 or just the DVDs since it's not too clear in the replacement form. Well I talked to someone from Bandai and they said just send the DVDs.

Despite never sending in a receipt for shipping, I have always gotten a check back for the shipping refund. Maybe it is because USPS puts a sticker on the package with the shipping amount.

Bandai did say that the pressing problem for the mislabeling only efected limited batches of the first pressings. I checked mine by going into the language setup and has the digtital dolby audio encoding. Amazon made sure that customers get the right version who pre-ordered the standard edition.

You know, I picked it up yesterday, and I got a the reversed discs, but what pisses me off is that they put Vol2 in a clear case, and Vol1 in a black case. WTF? They did the same thing with galaxy Angel. Different colored case for a volume.

I'm not going to send my discs back though. I mean the labels are switched, big deal since I have the SE. Obviously since it has been out for nearly 2 weeks, and my Media Play store just got it in, there are still going to be glitchy copies floating around.

Oh, and did anyone notice the cover doesn't have DTS listed on it like Vol1 does?

I ended up with a DTS disc as well. Would probably keep it if it weren't for the missing extras. The Yoko Kanno interview, in particular, is worth the trouble of the exchange for me.

If you have a DTS system, then no. The interviews are not worth that much. I turned off the Yoko Kanno one after a minute because it just didn't interest me.

It is up to you though. Some people will probably say yes, but I say no unless you must have the interviews and the same redundant trailers that have been on their discs over the past 6 months (or Manga's Read or Die trailer).

I have been holding out on getting volume 1 and volume 2 due to these issues. Question is, do you think they have been removed from the market. I would like to order both from TRSI and am wondering if all of their stock has been replaced with correct discs or if I could still get a glitch one?
