Default Bandai earlier collections and broken/chipped inner rings on those DVDs.

Anyone know if Bandai will still replace those discs with such defects? I purchased them three years ago to be exact, but could never get ahold of them through email.

The items in question are:

Saber Marionette Collection 3
Saber Marionette Again OVA Collection

There are cracks in the disc, but I've been afraid to watch them again to see if the problem would get worse or something.

Thanks!

They will.

I sent back my Outlaw Star 1 set and they replaced it. I called in and when I said "Outlaw Star" the guy on the other end cut me off and said "don't tell me, broken inner ring on the DVD?" So it's a known problem. They'll ask you send in the DVD case/DVDs if it's not part of a collection. Not sure what they would do if you had it in a collection to be replaced.

There was a telephone number floating around, I just can't seem to find it at the moment. Try email again, just don't mention how long ago you bought it, though they really don't seem to care about it.

I recently ordered the Saber Marionette Ultimate Collection. Is there a possibility that the discs in there could have cracks as well?

If it's brand new, no. The only reason the cracks show up is because you take them on and off the hubs. I would hope they'd just stick the damn thing on the hub during manufacturing once and that's it.

I watched Outlaw Star... a lot. I think that's how mine turned up getting the cracks. I guess they were stress fractures or something.

Bandai is really cool about replacements though, so even if one of your brand new discs (highly unlikely IMO) were broken, they'd replace it.

When I called in that was over a year or two when Chris was Customer Service. I told him about the problem with the hub that it was too tight that it caused my Outlaw Star discs to begin cracking.

He took all of my DVDs in and exchanged them for all for the box set! =)

When I called he said "I don't have anymore of the box set, but if you can send in the case and both discs, I'll send a replacement of that set." Or something along those lines.

Similar to the collection for Saber Marionette J Collections. Luckly, the inner rings didn;t crack or get broken when I got them. I wasn't too comfortable with them being packed in the hub too tight so I wapped out the double keepcases with single keepcase and nothing bad happened since I got them a few years ago. The longer it stays broken the further stress it cause the disc.

Well I noticed some cracks on some of my discs today; I repackaged most of my collection into clear double M-Lock cases. I was wondering if someone could be so kind and tell me the contact info for contacing Bandai concerning this issue, also should I contact Bandai or Manga concerning GitS Movie LE release? Thanks in advance.

http://www.animeondvd.com/studio/ (it's also in one of the stickied posts for this forum ^^)

Manga for the Gits movie - bandai wasn't involved in that.

For the GITS Movie LE contact Manga, since Bandai wasn't responsable for that release (just the series).

You can contact Bandai through their web site.

EDIT: Skywise beat me to it.
