I heard alot of negative/unsure comments about this series when it was first solicited, but I picked it up anyway (being a GONZO Whore and all...) and I'm so glad I did. I'll admit, I'm not entirely sure where the story is going either, but that's okay as I've just thoroughly enjoyed every episode of this show. I particularly liked this volume with the focus on several episodes given to the main 'couple' in the show. "A-" for this volume, "Positive" for the show! [img]/images/graemlins/happy.gif[/img]

Like I said, there's some good material in there in the two halves that make up this volume, but I dislike how they shifted so quickly from section to section. It's more cohesive than the standalone episodes of past and it seems more focused but it still just moves in sharp directions.

So far I've really enjoyed this show, and I'm very much looking forward to volume 5. It can be seen as a case of style over substance, but the style involved is certainly fabulous. I love Gad Guard's atmosphere and slice-of-life feel. I started buying this show simply because I was enthralled by the trailer (just a textless OP) and it hasn't disappointed me.
