On the 3rd episode into 10:05, my player freezes from playing. I fast forward about 3 seconds and rest are normal.

Does anyone elses player do same thing?

Mine did not do have problems there.

PowerDVD 5.0 w/ Pioneer 106S DVD-ROM
Yamaha DVD-S550 stand-alone player

Through right at 10:05 on ep 20, there is this stroboscopic series of effects fast-moving.

This is purely uneducated conjecture, but maybe these effects were 'too much' for your player to handle.

Can you please provide details on what equipment you are using the play the disc?

Pioneer DV-578A-S Region-free modded.

Strange that PS2 does not have same problem. I guess I'll just bear with it. It's annoyance and doesn't really have fix for it.

I would like to get a new DVD player that has DVI output.
