Default AoD Review: Dragon Ball Z Movie 10: Broly Second Coming

Review

[ QUOTE ]
In Summary:
The second coming of Broli isn't a bad way to spend some time with this cast but it does fall into the entirely predictable side of things. Broli himself isn't all that engaging of a villain since his vocabulary is either saying Kakarrot or grunting so you miss out on some of the good exchanges that can go on during such events. The fights are fun though and I liked the cast of kids that initially were leading the show but lost it along the way to Gohan as he tries to uphold the legacy of his grandfather. Not great, not bad, just another piece of the large pie that is Dragon Ball Z.

Grandfather? Kakarot is his dad, and the movie is crap but I'm such a completionist tool I bought it anyway. It is probably the worst of all 13 movies other than maybe the next one BioBroly.

The sad thing is the Broli trilogy gets worse with each movie. The 11th movie is one of the worse DBZ movies in the whole franchise. Too much Goten, Trunks, and Android 18 and not much else.

I saw a commercial (!!!) for this last night, and I kept thinking "wow, this looks a lot better than I remember it being". But I guess a shiny quality DVD couldn't save this stinker.

C'mon Funi, just jump ahead to the awesome 12 and 13! You've done it with your TV series, why not the movies?

Ah who am I kidding, despite the crappiness that is 10 and 11 I'll buy them anyway just to be a completist.

doesn't is suck being a tool, I would know cause I hate both of the other two Broly movies yet somehow I know I will buy the horrific BioBroly. But rebirth of Fusion and Exploding Dragonfist are the highlights of the DBZ movies.
