Default Fruits Baskets (Well all multi code Funimations Discs) Encoding question

Anybody else getting slow loadtimes for the disc and being unable to access the extras?

I suspect it's due to Funimation using 3 region codes as opposed to Region 0 or 1

Does the Multi Region code effect how it plays?

Are Other Funimations titles like this?

Could be a faulty disc, I've never had any slow load times with Fruits Basket, or indeed any other of my multiregion DVD's. All the other Funi discs that I've got are all fine as well.

I'll see with the rest of my set and see what's up.
It's not like I MUST see the extras.

It's My XBOX that is taking forever to read the disc.

and when I goto the extas menu my Apex Player makes the Blender noise which is usually a Sign it won't show in other players.

The XBox is known to be a finnicky player to begin with.

Depending on who you ask, Apex players are often described as cheap garbage. (There was actually a feature about Apex in the March 2005 IEEE Spectrum magazine called "The Price Is Wrong," which suggested that Apex shaved their margins too thin and compromised the quality of their product more than what should be acceptable.)

I haven't had any problems accessing the feature or extras on any of my Furuba discs. I played them all on my computer, though I forget which DVD drive I used at the time.

I agree with Iridium. The Xbox isn't really good at playing DVD videos, as well as Apex. You might want to try it on another player.

Oddly enough, I watched fruit basket today, prior to this post and I went in the extras after watching an episode. I use an Xbox as my dvd player and I didn't notice any slowdowns or anything when going to the extras. I used Disk 2. I have never noticed any slowdowns before (yet). I can double check to see if it happens on any other disks or something, who knows.
