Default Genmukan #1 bad sector on multiple copies

I bought the Genmukan boxset during DDD's recent sale.
The first DVD has a bad sector according to Nero's Scan Disc (1 block for the older test (bigger blocks) shows up as red sometimes (but green sometimes too)). And you can see the bad area always with the Quality Test too. PowerDVD does a better job at playing the bad scenes (but pauses) than my standalone player.
For my standalone player, it breaks up for parts of the image around 11:18 (mins:secs) for a couple of seconds. There is also another section at around 11:02 (shorter).
I returned the defective one to DDD for replacement, but the replacement I just received also has the same exact defect (it was shrinkwrapped too)!
So this is a strange problem, but I presume the DVD master has a bad sector on it since Nero can see the sector as bad (so not just bad MPEG data).

Could those with this show please check your copies too. Hopefully an expert here can shed some more light on this too.
I don't have faith that DDD can exchange it for a good copy as I suspect this is a master problem and all of their copies could be defective.
But I could find no mention of this problem anywhere.

Mine has the exact same problem, and returning it to TRSI for a new copy netted me the same results as yours.

One thing you can try, is to rip the DVD to you HDD, then burn it to another DVD-R. It should fit on a DVD-R without issue.

I tried ripping my copy, and it eventually made it through (we're talking a ridiculously long process here), but I never got around to reburning it. It did, however, seem to be able to get through that piece without problem, so there is some hope.
