Default Wedding Peach release question

I started getting myself Wedding Peach as I was finding volumes of it for pretty cheap on TRSI deals and ebay. In the light of the new thinpack getting released, I was just wondering if the "bonus short" episodes that are on Volume 1 and 6 (only ones I know of/own with those) was going to be included on the release as well. I realise that it may be unlikely since they are essentially extras but just inquiring... Is Wedding Peach DX (I think that's the OVA) going to be included in the second box set? Also, could someone tell me which other volumes of Wedding Peach have these special episodes (if there are any more)? Thanks for your help everyone

I wouldn't be surprised if they just slapped all of the old discs in two 5-disc boxsets. I wouldn't hold my breath though.

My guess is that the thin packs will strip the extras, and those mini eps would likely be dropped. They were actually on full discs of extras included with disc 1 and 6 (were they only in the box sets?), which I'm almost guaranteeing won't be in the thin packs.

Since the first set is setup as a 5 disc set, I'm guessing the next box set will be another 5 discs and include DX in that set. Without the extras of course.

Clocking in a 150 minutes a disc already I can't imagine them packing those extras onto the discs and I don't envision them being included in the box sets. If they do include the extra discs, I'll be seriously pissed considering I paid ~$20 a disc and I did it as they were released.

Watch for ADV slasher sales as well, as they were selling most volumes for ~$5 a disc, and I think it was $7 a disc for the discs w/ the box.

Thanks for your informative answer there. I guess that means there are no other short episodes since you don't recall your dvds having any?

Also, I'd love to take part in the ADV Slasher sale but is it available to overseas customers? (I live in Australia)

There was a bonus disc with V1 if you bought the box version with a bonus episode on it, and an bonus disc with V6 with a bonus disc. These two bonus discs had the only real substantial extras. I suspect that the thinpak set will be just the original disc, and will not include either of the two extras discs (or bonus episodes).

Just had a look at the bonus episode on the "Extras" disc of Vol.6 and at the end of it there is a preview for another mini episode. It had scene of Momoko as Wedding Peach (Bridal outfit) playing soccer or some ball sport (not very good with those). My guess is it is making fun of Captain Tsubasa, based on the way the ball went flying. Is this episode not included at all on any disc?

Edit: Also can you guys tell me if all the volumes only had clean opening/closing as an extra?

Yes extras were only clean OP&ED.

regarding the Extra episodes, they were available on a SEPERATE DVDs that came with Volumes 1 & 6 because these had a box version. the DVDs had Original Japanese opening as an extra in the first bonus DVD.

It was actually just $6. All singles cost $5. And no, the singles didn't come with the bonus discs. ADV were very discreet with the holes in the UPC's on my boxes. Not so much with the singles though...

I wouldn't be surprised seeing WP released WITH extras, seeing as they'd just have to print some more of the original discs and still not have more discs than the usual thinpak collections.

Well, in this instance the only extras on the discs themselves are the clean op/ed. So they may give the clean op/ed, but my bet is NOT the bonus discs in the box sets. If they do offer the bonus discs in the complete box form, then I fart in ADV's general direction for pooping on me yet again.

And as for you living in Australia... D'OH! Sorry, I didn't look at your location. Your best bet would be to find someone willing to order for you and ship to you from the US in that case. Then I have to wonder if you'd save money going the slasher route, having to pay shipping to the buyer then international shipping to you?
