Default Stand Alone Complex R2UK Box

Has anybody picked the UK box of Ghost in the Shell up yet? If so, do any of the discs suffer the same problems with audio/subs/video quality as the individual releases did?

I heard that some things had been improved, such as the timing of the subs in the first episode, but it is still far from perfect with spelling errors and what not. Also apparently the fifth disc still has the ugly black box around the subs.
But im only repeating what I heard elsewhere, I won't know for myself until Xmas.

The black box round the subs on the fith disc is pretty horrible. The subs seem to be slightly mistimed in quite a few places as well. It's a nice set otherwise.

I said it before, and I'll say it again, whoever QA the Ghost DVD should be taken out and beaten (soundly).

I see the tin boxset on Play retails at £79.99. Is it really worth the extra £50 to get that set compared to the cheaper 'brick' version?
