I distinctly remember renting one episode of Appleseed the series years ago, but I can't seem to find any information about it. Does anyone else remember an Appleseed Series?

What you remember is the one-shot 80s-vintage OVA, which has been released by Manga.

There are plans to continue the recent movie with sequels, and a TV series is also planned.

Yes, I have heard that they are planning to do a TV-series based on the Appleseed movie...but there has not been any news on it for quite some time now. I really liked the movie and I hope that there will be a TV-series; it could turn out as good as the Ghost in the Shell TV-series. [img]/images/graemlins/happy.gif[/img]

But we know how it ends, not that I would mind a TV series, just seems it wouldn't be much fun knowing the outcome. If it's a new story, I don't see how they could do it, because the movie wraps up everything pretty well.

But that is strange that I remember a TV series because I remember wondering what was going to happen in the next episode. Then again my memory does suck.
