Kasimasi - Girl meets Girl anime

the old thread got deleted, i haven't watched it yet (and maybe won't, due to time). however, for those who are on the fence, may want to check out a 30 sec. trailer before deciding to watch.

anyways, for those who have seen it, and want to compare w/ the manga, discuss all you want.

Do you or anyone else have a saved evrsion of the trailer i can dl or something? Verizon is acting up like crazy and all I get from the trailer is a slide show set to horrible audio.

One thing I saw did appear to be two girls kissing, and another girl seeing them and being shocked [img]/images/graemlins/sweat000.gif[/img]

Well, if this show is going to be a very open shoujo-ai kinda thing, it would be a breath of fresh air since open relationships like that are rare, as seen in the thread in R1 about it. I do hope he characters look older when animated than they do in the few images I've seen, but either way I hope it stays relatively innocent and not really fanservicey. It should be interesting to watch either way.

Having read the first manga, the relationships are quite open. It gets pretty interesting with a love triangle between the three girls with JanPuu (pinked haired alien) added in. <span style='color:#dddddd;background:#dddddd'>She *loves* Hazamu [img]/images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif[/img]</span> There is some kind of joke with Hazamu's teacher falling in holes all the time. The shoujoai probably won't happen until episode 3 or 4. The one thing I love about Kasimasi is the fact that <span style='color:#dddddd;background:#dddddd'>the passive girl becomes really aggresive with her love towards Hazamu, and the aggressive girl becomes very passive with her love towards Hazamu.</span> The thing I hate about Kasimasi is that Hazamu is a total <span style='color:#dddddd;background:#dddddd'>pussy [img]/images/graemlins/depresse.gif[/img]</span>. I waiting to find the show raw, put I've heard that it's pretty good and sticks to the manga.

There will be no kasimasi if Hazumu is not like that. IMO, Hazumu's character is the key to the whole story and how the relationships developed in Kasimasi.

I ended up liking the manga a lot more than I had expected to, given the premise. That big starting gimmick is the only really dumb thing about the story, so I hope they brush it under the carpet ASAP in the anime. Is a regular, "very open" shoujo-ai anime <span style='color:#dddddd;background:#dddddd'>without the main character being a male who aliens turned into a female</span> really too much to ask for!? [img]/images/graemlins/anger200.gif[/img]

That said, and to be fair, the manga is actually much better and much less annoying than it has any right to be. I'm looking forward to the anime.

Anyway, my main problem with the show is that Yasuna's <span style='color:#dddddd;background:#dddddd'>a crazy bitch, and not in the good way.</span>

Oh, they should have cast Mizuki Nana as Yasuna, it would have been a Nanoha A's Reunion tour...

Heh, lots of spoiler-tagged text from everyone that I'm not gonna read, but thanks for the replies people. Sounds like I might like it, so I'll check it out when given the chance (not that I wasn't going to anyway, but I can do so with less reservations now.)

They're not much of spoilers, really. Most of the stuff is known early on. If the show is like the manga, it uses a fairly stupid premise and turns it into a nice, sweet, well done romantic story.
