There not much of spoilers, really. Most of the stuff is known early on. If the show is like the manga, it uses a fairly stupid premise and turns it into a nice, sweet, well done romantic story.

Well, if this show is going to be a very open shoujo-ai kinda thing, it would be a breath of fresh air since open relationships like that are rare, as seen in the thread in R1 about it. I do hope he characters look older when animated than they do in the few images I've seen, but either way I hope it stays relatively innocent and not really fanservicey. It should be interesting to watch either way.

There will be no kasimasi if Hazumu is not like that. IMO, Hazumu's character is the key to the whole story and how the relationships developed in Kasimasi.

I don't think he is like that. I have read the manga raw and he becomes more assertive toward his feelings toward tomori chan. Tomori had been resisting her feelings after the transformation, but she has finally come to terms.
This is as far as Volume 2 of the raw manga goes. I love the part where <span style='color:#dddddd;background:#dddddd'>Hazumu goes to see Tomori at her track and field camp after he couldn't answer his Phone because the needy girl asked him, he/she is a two timer though. </span>

Going from the manga, I got the feeling that the mangaka wasn't confident enough in his/her ability to do a straight-forward shoujo-ai series so they kept adding unnecessary gimicks to the story, <span style='color:#dddddd;background:#dddddd'>especiall y the revelation that the one girl can't "see" the faces of men. </span>

We do already have a no frills shojo-ai named Maria Sama Ga Miteru. It is probably one of the best anime's ever made also.

As for Kashimashi, I love the guy turn girl premise, so any spin on that gets my attention. Honestly the manga was WAY better than I ever thought it would be. That is why I am looking forward to the anime.

I don't think it was a gimmick to avoid touching the subject of Shoujo Ai directly, but the gimmick was to entice the target audience more. Japanese have a fascination with the subject of gender transformation and the Psyche between it. I can't count the amount of manga and anime that follows this subject. I don't think the show is as much of a shoujo ai,and more of a gender transformation one. it has been a while since a show of this type came out, last one I can remember was Cinderella Boy and it was not an actual gender change but a kind of body merging. Also consider the manga is published by Dagenki, which is a Moe-ecchi magazine [img]/images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif[/img]
