In Seattle, TAN is still free, albeit extremely limited in it's content, through Comcast's On Demand service. Right now we have a few episodes of Cromartie, DN Angel, Full Metal Panic, Getbackers, and Yucie.

Sounds like Illinois is similar to Seattle. TAN went away late December came back with maybe 10 various episodes avaialable, and a few you could pay for.

Kind of a disappointment honestly, I liked having the full roster available.

But I believe a few of ADV shows are also in the Anime Select section like Princess Tutu and SuperGals maybe a few others. And not in the TAN section.

I got digital cable because of anime on demand speed channel, and G4, but to tell you the truth I'm really disapointed with it. I have no speed channel, G4 doesn't show anime every night and their other shows are getting boring, and now that comcast is charging for their anime on demand I see no point in keeping digital cable.

So far the only ADV licensed show I've seen on Anime Selects is Super Gals. Looking at ADV's VOD schedule, Princess Tutu will be returning back to TAN, so I'm not sure that will be on Selects. As for cost, there are a few ADV shows that cost money, but those are in another section (Events and Specials) and the shows I have under the "Cutting Edge" category are all free. Plus the shows that cost money seem to be full volumes and movies. Although I do have to agree that since the changes there have a lot less free shows.

Bah, consider yourself lucky. We only get 4 episodes per week here. And you got the full roster before?

Over the summer we had a large number of shows/episodes on TAN, but now it's extremely limited. It's interesting how we have more episodes in Seattle than you do in Tacoma.

I will not pay for TAN On Demand, but I will pay for the TAN channel. I think it would be more beneficial to have to pay a monthly suscription fee for the use of a channel than it would to be paying for just 5 hour of anime a month.
