Honestly, I'm not collecting the R2-version since I'm earnestly praying it will have an R1-version very soon. But that doesn't mean we can't have an R2-discussion about it. We are sorely lacking a Hachikuro-discussion here in the R2-forum.

Especially since I just watched the Romaiya-special from the dvd and was just banging my head on the wall while laughing hysterically at this dvd-exclusive episode.

You R2-owners of Hachikuro are holding out on us!

Anyway, that was an awesome episode. Most of the guys turned f'in gay and it was an f'in riot. Even the art and animation went totally shoujo-anime with all those sparkles, stars and hearts. They really successfully lampooned the genre.

So, any other dvd-exclusives from the R2?

Reading Garten's various reviews of the R2s, not much. Interview with the staff and crew plus some behind-the-scenes stuff seems to be it as far as dvd-exclusives goes.

And yes, Romaiya-sempai rocked many levels. Must have watched the episode at least 1/2 a dozen times raws before the subs came out! I wonder what the other special DVD only episode will be like?

There is supposed to be another DVD-only episode coming further down the release. Other than that, I'd like to say there hasn't been anything particularly exciting, but most the disks are still lying in my backlog [img]/images/graemlins/sweat200.gif[/img]

Yeah. I read from Gerten's or somewhere else that the other dvd-exclusive ep will be in vol-7.

Back to the Romaiya-ep.

It was really well-done and I thought they could've used it as an origin-plotpoint on the Takemoto's arcs.

At any rate, the funniest gag on the ep for me was when Mayama went on a tangent while trying to initially explain to Takemoto who/what Romaiya is, completely confusing and flabbergasting Takemoto. [img]/images/graemlins/sdsmiley.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/sweat200.gif[/img]
