Well, I've seen the first episode; not my cup of tea at all, but if you like generic sports shows you might like it, I guess.

Great animation and all, but it's just about giant robot races, there's only so much excitement the generic sports template can create for me. It didn't even seem to have particularly interesting characters; the three leads are The Japanese Hero, The Cute Little Girl and The Potential Love Interest, and there's a Varied Supporting Cast of all the usual cliches.

It puzzles me how they got such an amazing cast for the dub when it's such an average show; guess it must just be a money thing. The Japanese cast was undistinguished, and the show's buried in a late-night slot where it doesn't even do that well compared to other shows in similar time slots.

I recommend waiting until the inevitable Cartoon Network or whatever channel it is on digital that shows CN USA's anime output broadcast to see whether it's your bag, basically.

That's pretty much what I thought it would be, thanks for the insight.
