I did a preview page on my blog. But basically, DVD 2 covers itsuki appearance, the school trip, Ichitaka & Iori visit to the shrine, the fire accident of Ituski house and end with Itsuki crying over the burnt Ichitaka face mould.

Waiting for a raw to capture the snapshots.

Yeah, it was pretty nice. I haven't read all the manga yet, but Itsuki was always my favorite, and this volume just made me like her more.

Of course, the Ichitaka's imagination segment at the end was for Iori (and some background female characters) again...

Oh, wow! That's quite alot of manga-material they covered. Wonder if they saved up the beach-chapters for v3.

Those pics at your blog were nice. Can't wait for my copy even more now.

so I just got it today and here are my thoughts about it.

As expected, they totally skipped the beach episodes and some background/first-part details of the class-trip, i.e. no pairing-agony, no Jun, no Higemi, no tatami adventures. You will have to check the manga-version for the complete details of the school-trip.

Of greater importance, the tori-scene was a bit changed in that Iori was the aggressive one this time in the anime. The full significance of the tori-walk was also not fully explained. No Miyoko, too. The gift that was one of the Ichitaka catalyst/crisis in the manga was also skipped.

But...

Although it's unfortunate that they skipped the full school-trip details, it's still all good as the romantic-storyline pacing actually made sense even if one has not read the manga.

The Bonus-ep Extra was changed a bit, too, but it was still awesome!!! It's the school-trip peeping-scene from the manga. Fanservice ahoy! Maybe I'll put some snapshots later. [img]/images/graemlins/devil.gif[/img]

I think, rather believe/hope, they will still animate the beach-episodes. I would hope they put it in volume-3 since it'll only be logical as a feel-good ep to balance out the fire-aftermath scene of v2. There wasn't any hint as there weren't any v3-previews at all.

btw, Itsuki's new vocals (Asuka Nakase) is just darn perfect for the role! So full of energy, really poised and great presence and a real definitely good rival to Iori's Shizuka Itou.

Man, if this ever gets to R1 (PLEASE, VIZ or Geneon!!!!), I would so fervently wish they put an A-class english-VA for her and Iori. This series can't settle for anyone of less calibre to voice either girls.
