Default Would a Bratz fangirl like Supergals?

I've got a Supergals thinpack box & know a kid who likes Bratz, whose birthday is next month. She is 14 going on 15.

Would she like SG if she likes Bratz. Is there any SG merchandise?

If the kid doesn't mind the language that appears in the English dub of the show (thankfully, the discs do have a Japanese language track in case the langauge is too much to handle), then I'm sure she'll like SuperGALS.

While I understand why you'd make a connection, this comparison has come up before and it STILL makes me twitch.

I'd say that on a very very very very superficial level, she might. But going any deeper than that... I don't think there's any way to know. One is an ugly and slut-tastic children's toy, the other is... a comedy anime I don't know that the "teenage girl fashion with an attitude" thing necessarily will transfer from one medium to the next. Unless she clicks with the SG humor, I don't think it will do anything for her.

She might like Super Gals. Show her some of it and see what she thinks.

As far as Gals merchandise, I don't think so. Not in the Bratz variety anyway. You can get the English manga and there's also 2 soundtrack CDs for the anime. You might find trading cards or shitajiki at an import shop.

Considering the cost of the thinpack box, it's worth the risk either way. And anything that may facilitate the second season being released over here is a good thing.
