Where to buy manga?

For a year or two I've used Dreamland Comics, but I can't put up with their horrible service anymore. Is there any site out there with comparable pricing? 30% off is pretty nice...

eCampus.com does 25% off all of manga they have and they have a pretty good selection.

I buy mostly during TRSI studio sales, but unless you live in the USA I can't recommend them, due to shipping costs.

Other than that, I'll pick up some on Overstock occasionally, but their product info sucks and it's only worth it if I'm buying something else with a coupon too.

AllDirect.com has 38% off on ALL books and free shipping on orders over $99. I've only ordered once from them so far but I definitely plan on doing a lot more business with them. They answered my emails quickly, let me know when my order shipped, and packed the box really well. I know that might sound like how an online company should act, but after dealing with Dreamland I don't assume anything.

The only downside is you can't preorder or backorder anything. You can only place an order for stuff they have in stock. Their warehouse must be huge though, because I think there was only one or two books I wanted to order that weren't in stock at the time.

AllDirect's website is currently down for maintenance though but I highly recommend them.

Yeah, Dreamland now owes me $6 or so for charging me for a book they didn't ship... Not to mention it took a month for the order to arrive. I don't understand how they can operate SO badly.

AllDirect sounds great, though. Even better prices, with real customer service? I'm there. I generally order my manga in bulk, so I should be able to snag the free shipping, too.

I've heard some people have had good experiences with Alphacraze, which is on Yahoo shopping. You have to go to Yahoo shopping and search for the ISBN number of the book you want, and then pick alphacraze's listing from the list of vendors. Their prices are over 50% off the cover price, and shipping is very low.

I have yet to order from them, but from reading other people's experiences the worst that has happened is that they will cancel your order if they are out of stock of the item.

It certainly is irksome that there's no way (that I've seen) to just list all of AlphaCraze's items, and they don't seem to carry preorders, but the prices are certainly nice. They don't seem to have what I need though (and Yahoo Shopping's listings are VERY annoying to navigate >_&lt... boo~ Ah well.

And it seems like they're STILL down. It's been a week plus whatever it was before your post. What the heck are they doing?

I'm looking to just place my Viz manga order somewhere else since I've lost patience with TRSI, and AllDirect would be getting my business because I'd probably be able to reach free shipping...

You and me both disarm. I have to order about 50 viz books and I am really fed up with dreamland comics. Took a month and a half for my last order and there were no backordered items. Its simply rediculus.
