Default London MCM Expo early news (Spiral, Oban Star Racers and Naruto)

Going from the two show guides (here and here) it seems that MVM are finally going to be releasing Spiral.

Also at noon Jetix will be showing (on the main stage area) 2 episodes of Oban Star Racers (French/Japanese co-production) and at 1 they will be showing (in assocation with Manga Entertainment) the first episode of Naruto, as well as having a Q+A with his English VA.

Im guessing the special presentation before the Naruto showing will be Mangas announcement of licensing, and Jetixs announcement of picking up the TV rights..... (but hey, thats just me guessing)

Awesome! If it is true (which it more than likely is) as I said at the time I'm more than happy to be wrong about Viz using the property themselves over here. I am just more than glad to be getting Naruto, and naturally on TV as well.

I may have to head down to Expo now.

don't forget about the Naruto game we're getting too ^_-

I was expecting them to put a couple of their funimation titles on the schedule for the 2nd half of the year. I was hoping Kodomo no omocha would get dated too.

Hopes for MCM:

Manga Ent give Naruto releases large episode counts
Beez sort out Midori's days
MVM and ADV announce something that isn't just stuff they had for a while and had too full a schedule to release
UK Exclusives!

I'm just hoping for a title I'm actually interested in. None of the above qualify so far.

Hoping for from;

Beez - Statos 4 OVA & advance, Infinite Ryvius, any new UC Gundam.

ADV - ODP, Divergence Eve - Misaki, Doki Doki School Hours, Aura Battler Dunbine

MVM - Kamichu, Mermaid Forest, Tenchi OVAs 3rd series, Galaxy Railways, Lupin III TV.

As examples.

Its cool that Naruto will be shown on Jetix and hopefully its not edited anymore than the already edited version that Viz released as Im not quite sure how Jetix will handle an anime like this as all the stuff they have shown recently, being Digimon based (Although Shin Chan which is probably edited doesnt have some 'cheeky' moments cut).

If I can get my brother to watch it, it might, oh so slightly broaden his anime horizons from DBZ is the one and only good anime series and all the rest are porn.

Also good that "IF" Manga are releasing it, and I say IF as its more than likely they are going to but nothings been confirmed yet, that it will give me hope as not only do I enjoy Naruto but also the chance Bleach will be released.

Also if Im not mistaken this will be the longest UK series to be released (only if MVM have give up on YuYu Hakusho again).

Viva La Anime Revolution.....Hopefully

Whatchu talkin' bout Willis?
Seems Im either missing out on a joke or there is something I dont know.

Hopefully MVM and ADV have some new series to announce instead of just release dates, we will find out in a week.

Well, Yu Yu Hakusho is much shorter than Naruto anyway (112 vs 185 and counting)...

Beez could do a lot worse then to take a chance on releasing 0080/08th MS Team intact.
I wouldn't mind G - Gundam if they made it a decent price.

Hoping to see UK licenses for Scrapped princess, Gun Sword & GaoGaiGar.

Also, ADV had better spill the beans on what they're doing with Godannar.

I think a few shows like Gun X Sword andsome other Geneon shows may well be announced by MVM, since an awful lot of their stuff is finishing and they'll probably need more in their pipeline than what they have now to maintain their release schedule.

I actually had a dream a few weeks ago that someone announced Gankutsuou (which would be awesome). It was quite strange.
