I was planning on waiting, but I totally just broke down and preordered the first two Basilisk volumes. At least they were on sale.

Hmmm.

For whatever reason, I'm not inspired by the Basilisk box, so I'll probably be getting the single volume version. I've had a mind to preorder the Negima box for ages, so that's already a done deal.

Despite owning the R2s, I'll be buying the R1s of Negima to show my support. But I won't be buying the LE as that monochrome box is boring and will be a minor hassle to handle since it has to be opened to get DVDs out, and I don't care for deformed "cute" figures like those (and the stickers are based on them so I don't need those either).

It looks like at least the inside of the Negima box is lined with fabric, sateen maybe? Is the outside just standard printed cardboard or is the whole box covered in that fabric?

Horrible? The show or the packaging?

[/ QUOTE ]

The show, obviously.

As cute as that Asuna figure is, it's not enough to get me to spend the money on a sturdy, but uninteresting, box and the first DVD of a show that's fairly blah. I might get the last disc of the series, since a couple of late episodes were good/original, but since it'd feel lonely, I might not. <sigh> And the manga's so much fun...

Seeing as how all Funi stuff is on sale 40% off retail right now at TRSI you won't get a better price anytime soon.

Well, I gotta group them by release date and make sure every order clears the free shipping threshold.

and for me it's closer to 46%(I have membership in Got Anime! - Membership has it's priviledges)

Am I the only one fascinated by the "panty shot" of the figure in the last pic?

I'm very tempted with the Negima box but not 100% sold yet.
