Default Monthly UK DVD Awards - May

The monthly awards are here again, and while the winner for April is still being decided in a vote off, (update: Whisper of the Heart won the vote off) I have decided to start the May poll now and let everybody have the full four weeks to vote.

No extensive blurb about what is up for vote, but I will give you some stats for this month.

16 DVDs released:
<ul type="square">[*]6 from MVM.[*]4 from ADV Films.[*]3 from Manga.[*]3 from Beez.
3 first volumes.
1 movie.
0 previous winners for previous volumes (counting GitS &amp; GitS-SAC separate)

As mentioned earlier, you have the full four weeks to cast your vote this month, lets try to be decisive and avoid another tie-breaker shall we? Voting ends Sunday 2nd July at 6pm BST (1pm forum time)

These awards are not associated with Anime On DVD, but are a view of what the general anime fans of UK believe to be the best DVD release of each month.

Previous Winners
August: Barefoot Gen 1&amp;2 (Optimum)
September: Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind (Optimum)
October: R.O.D. the TV (MVM Films)
November: Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex - Volume 7 (Manga Ent.)
December: (joint) Full Metal Alchemist - Volume 3 (MVM Films)
December: (joint) Last Exile - Volume 7 (ADV Films)
December: (joint) Neon Genesis Evangelion Platinum - Volume 6 (ADV Films)
January: Haibane Renmei - Volume 4 (MVM Films)

Crest of the Stars #2. The series is good every time I watch it. #1 just lost last month. #2 is the best for May IMO.

Tough one this month - I really enjoyed both Crest of the Stars and Fumoffu!, but in the end went with She, the Ultimate Weapon.

Isn't it great when we're spoilt for choice?

I voted for Gilgamesh... it had a really interesting first volume and sadly I think a lot of people will overlook it.
