Default What exactly does Bandai Visual have access to?

Stuff produced by Bandai Visual aka Emotion would the obvious answer, I'd think. But do they have access to the rest of Bandai's holdings, like say stuff that just Sunrise was involved in?

I think the only answer for now is : "they have access to everything they have a license for"

Unless a BV rep care to answer your post, there is no way to know.

So true. Here's a list of what they were involved in as Bandai Visual and Emotion.

For R1, think 1-shot for now.

Both Patlabor movies & probably Gunbuster have been/is likely to be single volume releases.

Of that list BE has released a lot, or other R1 companies already.

Patlabor & Gunbuster are classic well-known titles. Royal Space Force would be another.

The Zeta Gundam movies are next after Gunbuster IMO. BV's LE package would probably be a translated version of the First Press R2J releases - with extras disc & booklet.

Wings of Honneamise was used in their company logo, so I would imagine that will be re-released under their banner. I hope they don't only do one-shot/short releases, I want some classic tv series too.

I'm hoping that Flag turns out to be a good series and gets a R1 release. It's on the Bandai Channel right now.

(I thought that Bandai Visual might be the distributor of this since they are one of the partners in the Bandai Channel.)

It would be interesting to know if they have access to the remastered TMS shows Ace wo Nerae and Rose of Versailles, or if they were strictly DVD distributors in Japan. Those two would sure make some killer releases.

We should get an idea once they release Wings of Lean, to see how they would handle a tv series

Bandai Entertainment is going after Zeta Gundam, not BV USA. Mind you they're not licensed yet and in negotiations for it, but given how they've release everything else gundam so far it wouldn't surprise me if they got it. About the only thing stopping them would be if BEI ceased to exist or something .

Why would they release the Zeta Gundam movies? Wishful thinking aside, unless something drastically changes it's just going to be another BEI release.
