I have the novel, and it was edited. As far as I know, it was never "delayed," but released on time.

I too have almost stopped buying from VIZ completely. Only thing I dare to buy is InuBaka; Which will probably be edited eventually. Unfortunately, I'm pretty much only the expert in title changes and some text changes and flipped series. Like "Ghost!" becoming "Eerie Queerie!" or Gravitation and Azumanga Daioh containing Americanization. Not sure if those would be included or not, though. I can try and ask some of my friends online and in real life, though.
Thanks for starting up this list, too! It helps me avoid certain series, and it's nice to know I'm not the only one avoiding edited titles. Some of my friends think it's stupid to avoid the titles... |

I have a question: does dissing color art for black & white count as editing? He is My Master drops some color pages and has B&W ones instead.
Also, Yoshitaka's air soft guns are blacked out whenever they appear. (The guns were pretty darkened in the original, but in this version they are totally blacked out). I was really excited to get this manga, but its not as cool when the few color panels are dropped. The pages in question look pretty bad. At this point I don't know if I'll even bother to get the rest of it.

I'd count it, personally. One of my great translated manga annoyances, no color pages!! Argh...

Dropping color pages hasn't really been regarded an 'edit'. Mostly a low budget move by some penny pinching suit.

Like all color pages reduced in black and white ever?

I paged through my Japanese volume 5 and the guns do have a lot of details and from what I recall, vol 1 did too. If they are pure black and other parts on those pages are not darkened, it's an edit. I'd have to see the photos to be sure, though.

One of the studio reps even addressed this at a panel recently (at Otakon, I think) and mentioned that it is rarely done because it adds a lot to the production costs. And when color pages are reduced to B&W, they usually look a little off.
