Much as some shrink-wrap and/or a Parental Advisory label would have been ideal (and preferred on my end), I imagine adding a bra was the easiest and least hairy route to take for what seems to one of their better performing series.

Not to take things off track, but I just continually find myself frustrated with modern-day VIZ, to the point I generally no longer want to buy from them, even though they still have series I both enjoy and which they handle with care.

I get the censorship in the magazine and on there website but editing the graphic novels to me just seems really unfair to the people that want to read them in way they were meant to be. Not to mention were shelling out around 10 bucks each time. That being said I still plan to buy a copy of R+V S2 volume 2. But for the time being it's dropped on my priority list.

Agreed (except for continuing with the series).

Though I realize this is the first instance of R+V having to deal with the matter of overt nudity, I'm just feeling really burned, after having supported all of the first series and the initial volume of the second (I'm also still smarting from their stealth canceling of Bastard!!).

I wish VIZ would establish, and make public, a content standard for their various product lines, so certain consumers wouldn't need to feel like they're always gambling with their titles.

In chapter 6, pages 72-73, a bra has been added to cover Fake Kurumu's nipples. I knew this chapter wasn't going to pass Viz's censors.

BTW Are they the only Distributor/Publisher that does not have a rep as a member here to talk to us?

I believe so. At least, I dont recall ever seeing seeing any Viz reps around.

That's they couldn't care less about their customers! They only care about the ignorant customers who don't know that they manga they are buying is censored!

He his probably hiding in a cavern somewhere incognito writing some press releases and living with the Viz's sensors... since they are too afraid of questions. Sometime, they go out to go to cons but they have a text they learn and when this text is finish they rush back to their cavern they call the only safe place in the world.
