What's the difference between this and the previous release of the series?

it has 5.1 audio for both English and Japanese track...also the video was re-encoded but i thought the original had very clear video....so i didn't noticed any difference in video...

just like Trigun...although Trigun added original opening animation for all the episodes....

Also it's now on 5 disc instead of 8.

Did they add any new extras? The extras on the original set of DVDs were appalingly bad.
