European PS3 launch delayed again?!

I seriously do not blame Johnny or anyone else across the pond for trying to get a PS3 someplace else...geez, this is just ridiculous. Why even bother launching the system if you can't even have them available...

It's nice that Sony's corporate communications boss took the time to correct what Sony's Worldwide Studios boss said.

I bet even if they do launch in Europe in March 2007, it'll probably still be with less than a million units and shortages will run rampant with no one sure when to exactly expect the next shipment.

Sony are now backpedaling on this and saying we're still on track for March.

I'm fairly sure they will keep to the march release date, and get all 50 of the U.K. launch consoles into the shops by March 31st.


Seriously though, unless they can ramp up production a lot I can't see them managing to get enough consoles into Europe for more than a token launch (probably worse than the Japanese launch).

Yep, I certainly did. Damn, imagine the profit I could make selling my PS3 to someone else in Europe this Christmas. No Euro release for 4 months plus a lockdown on actually getting one would mean at least a double profit.
Not that I'd let it go for any amount though [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]
