Default Jump Ultimate Stars (DS)

It's finally out! Mine was shipped from YesAsia but probably won't arrive for another two weeks. (Free shipping to Hawaii is always slow...) Has anyone else gotten their hands on it? Now that the game is WiFi enabled, it should be a hundred times more fun than Jump Superstars. Not that the game was bad or anything, but once you beat all of the levels and gotten all of the komas, the challenge factor pretty much became non-existant.

Mine shipped today aswell from Playasia. Should have it by the weekend hopefully. I'll get some impressions posted (as Chacrana was asking about it too) but how soon is really dependant on whether my Wii arrives this weekend or not...
The online play is definitely gonna add replay value to it although with a cast of characters that big, I'm not sure who to play with.
Looking forward to trying out the Death Note characters and basically all the new ones that weren't in Superstars.

Mine shipped from Play-Asia yesterday. Based on the amount of time it took to get my last order from them (Gyakuten Saiban 1 and 2 ), I'll probably get it on about Wednesday of next week.

Mine was shipped from NCSX today. I should probably get it on Monday since the PO is closed tomorrow and Friday.

Yay! I got it in the mail yesterday and played for a few hours. Anyone else got theirs yet? I think I'm going to give in and buy the USB accessory since I don't have wireless at home just so I can play against other people.

For some reason, the controls feel a little more sluggish than the past game. Like, jumping with Luffy just doesn't feel as quick. The way to get new komas is pretty easy too. All you do is select a character and pay a certain amount of points to upgrade them. A lot easier than in Super Stars when you had to match them up with their quotes, probably because there are so much characters this time around. The challenge for each stage in which you must use a desginated deck is pretty fun too. It adds a whole level of challenge to the game. I don't think I'll be able to whip through Ultimate Stars as easy as I did with Super Stars, and that's a good thing.

Hey Raye, long time no see. Good to know you're still good, just recently contacted Ricecooker, lol.

I will probably get it but didn't like the first one too much for some reason. Also it was a chore to get the characters and thats a minus when I have little time. Remember I asked you to sell me your copy of JSS since you had everything unlocked and I'll send you mine since you wanted to replay and re-unlock everyone again? LOL. Tell me if any of the Deathnote characters are like.

I hardly played the first one. :/ Then again, I hardly play my DS any more. The sad thing is that I bought my DS just for Jump. -_- I wish they would release something like this for the GCN/Wii/Etc. I'd probably be more apt to play it then. New one looks good, but there's still so much to unlock on the first one.

Hey untoldsorrow. It's been a while, ever since I stopped going on soompi (again).

The game is rather fun. Yeah, it might be a hassle to get the characters you want, but luckily, I like using Luffy and he's unlocked right from the get-go. On the other hand, I don't use him anymore since I just beat the game yesterday, unlcoking some of the better (or cheaper) characters. Although I have yet to unlock everything just yet. I have a few more komas to go, but some of the challenges are proving to be more difficult than imaginable.

I think the game thrives on the online capability. I was a bit let down by Jump Super Stars, only because once I beat the game, the only challenge I had was the crappy AI. That's the main reason why I wanted to delete my game and start all over. There are other features too. The ranking fights are pretty lame, but the quiz is kind of fun regardless of the fact that I can't read the question and answers that quickly. Still, it's a great game. Now all I have to do is get my Wi-Fi adapter so I can challenge people from home instead of going to McDonalds during my lunch break to get 0wned.
