Default Multi-disc players?

Haruhi has made me think of multi-disc players!

What are the best models for AV & if any are made, also progammability i.e. switching from the chapters/episodes of 1 disc to another.

Do the players have disc stack magazines, or go in part-/turntable trays?

What are you using for a TV? If you use component video and need just 480i or 480p, you can try Ebay for a Panasonic CP72. I'm not aware of any newer models that are any good. Changers are usually gimped compared to single disc units.

Isn't there a really good Denon changer out there? I've heard it's expensive though, like above $800 expensive.

Denon certainly does make some great players, but I am not aware of any good changers from them. This is not to say that such things do not exist, though.

Sony DVP-CX777ES
Pioneer DVF727
Pioneer Elite DV-F07
Denon DVM-2815

Are you looking to store your dvds in the player or just play 1 or 3 at a time? Sony does make a 400 dvd player that now has HDMI output as well.

I'm not sure I'd go near a Sony DVD player if I wanted decent deinterlacing/scaling.

Oh, ok than. I've 4 of these in a stack going out thru the componet jacks on the back. The addressable remotes are an issue. If the source material isn't Hd is there really any point in going to better piture screen tho?
On a side note; not to hijack your thread, any one know of a good pc based massive (ie all types of media) library program.

Addressable remotes assume that there is a way to number each device. In the consumer market, Sony is the only one I remember that's done that. Though maybe others have done it, I just don't remember them, similar features weren't offered when I looked. You flip switches on the back to assign each player a number, and flip switches on the remote to pick which one to control.
